Levin: Obama admin has "same" thinking as dictators and totalitarian regimes

"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heckuva lot easier, so long as I'm the dictator."

Which recent former US president said the above words?

The people who have the same thinking as dictators and totalitarian regimes are the members of the neo-conservative movement. With Orwellian style names such as the Patriot Act, Clear Skies Initiative, Healthy Forest Initiative which were completely opposite of that. Torture, secret rendition, pushing for indefinite detention, wiretapping without a warrant, over 1000 signing statements, abuse of executive power, most secretive administration in history.

It's like you and your little crony buddies are projecting your true selves, Levin.

i'm wondering, have these people ever traveled? like outside of the states- and not like to be whisked to the nearest hatian club med in a limo- but if they have ever been "on the ground" somewhere that is not the US?

they show a pretty narrow set of opinions.

Why didn't they complain when Bush was the dictator?

Levine is a nasty little egocentric tick! He'll say anything to get noticed. This was a great moment when Baldwin referred to him as Hannity's "cabin boy".

Yes, because dictatorships and totalitarian regimes are well-known for their tolerance of anti-government nutjobs dominating talk radio and an entire "news" channel.

We all remember how Anti-Hitler and Anti-Stalin and Anti-Mao radio and tv personalities made millions of dollars constantly attacking their nation's leadership, don't we? Remember the anti-government protests which were so common in Germany in the late-1930s?

      Sickening.

Yep. It's like all of these wingnut talking heads thought of this stuff while Dubya was President but knew they'd get thrown out of the club for being honest by saying it and helping America.

      And, now it's a catharsis
