Okay Karl, you think it is demeaning to the Presidency to refuse to deal with a network that has repeatedly demonized the President, that has distorted what he and his staff have said, who have accused the entire Executive Branch of being completely corrupt, wh have called Liberals Nazis and Fascists, and many of the Fox opinion personalities have advocated getting rid of the duly elected Democratic majority less than a year after the election because of the misdeeds that they have invented and spread with almost no evidence of wrong doing and none of it tied directly to the President. Fox wants to be free to lie, distort, and hound the Obama Administration without any consequence, frankly, I support the White House for calling them a propaganda machine, they have given up the all claim to being a legitimate news source.

RIGHT!!!! and Cris Wllace just lets him say what ever he wants with no challenge why didn't anyone mentionhow Bush attacked NY Times andNBC for disagreeing with him tho he wasn't called the same kind of names as Obama is evryday around the clock by Fox "news" people and commentators. You are right..Hannity and Beck strongly imply Gov overthrow, insurrection, revolution, then so innocent about their words..as if they have just said good morning sohow can anybody accuse them of being over the top!!!
Real Media should expose Fox and actuallyshow what they do in comparison to the facts and how they ignore them while spinning, lieing and distorting!!!!!
Why don't they distance themselves from Fox instead of trying to defend themselves against the mythical liberal bias smear that the right made up years ago!!

To use Karl Rove, the third corner of the axis of evil, to try to show that Fox news and broadcast (if there truly is a difference)is news and not just opinions is very insulting. It's not like Bush had an enemy list either.

I think the new right wing slander term is "Chicago politics". It brings up great images of mob rule. But I guess that's news and not commentary.

And beyond that, why was he, in particular, chosen as the "liberal" to take on Carl Rove. He had no special qualifications to fight that battle. In fact he was among the weakest and most vulnerable (he praised Fox in 2008) they could have found. If Fox had guts they'd have chosen someone from Media Matters to be on. Has Fox had anyone from MM on lately? Why is Fox boycotting MM?

The White House wouldn't provide anyone to address this issue on FoxNews this morning. Terry McAuliffe will apparently sell his soul to the highest bidder.

      More Projection.

How do you know that Rove and the Bush White House did something really slimy and un-democratic? They accuse the Obama White House of doing it.

      An "enemies list", Karl?

Let's ask Donald Siegelman about that.

The injustice done by the US Department of Justice (sic) to Siegelman is so crystal clear that a participant in Karl Rove's plan to destroy Siegelman can't live with her conscience. Jill Simpson, a Republican lawyer who did opposition research for Rove, testified under oath to the House Judiciary Committee and went public on "60 Minutes." Simpson said she was told by Bill Canary, the most important GOP campaign advisor in Alabama, that "my girls can take care of Siegelman."

Canary's "girls" are two US Attorneys in Alabama, both appointed by President Bush. One is Bill Canary's wife, Leura Canary. The other is Alice Martin. According to Harper's Scott Horton,a law professor at Columbia University, Martin is known for abusive prosecutions.

Karl Rove is getting his 15 minutes of fame because he is scared that he will be investigated for his misdeeds while apart of the Bush White House. So why not lie, especially on a news network that relies on smears.

It was too painful to me to listen to Karl Rove push his plotline for this made up tale - I kept having to mute the TV when he was on, so I didn't hear all of what he said. But what I did hear was really offensive and obnoxious.

He tried to excuse Fox Broadcast channel from having to air Obama's recent speech because FoxsNews covered it, but the other broadcast channels covered the speech, even though they knew other cable news channels were covering it. The reason Fox Broadcast channel should have covered it was because they should cover important speeches from any President. Somehow NBC, CBS, PBS and ABC all know this, and they don't try to use the fact that all of the cable news networks were covering the speech to excuse inexcusable behavior!

No legitimate network should have Rove on. It's unbelieveable to me that anyone would take anything he says seriously.

Rove et al helped create the divisive environment we're in at present. An enemies list, Karl ?

Clearly he had his and the help of the DoJ

Fox news will lie, distort the truth, make things up, and do just about anything to try and deligitemize President Obama.
Watching beck with all his anger and hatred for Obama is freakin sickening. Beck is dangerous, he wants his extremist viewers to act against our president. In Obamas first 9 months, fox has not said 1 positive thing about him. For 8 very long years of bush, fox did not say 1 negative thing about him.
Rove is just another fox noise idiot who doesnt care about the American people and whats best for our country.

      clear projection by karl...

"if you dont like the questions being asked by major garrett, wendell goler or chris wallace, then you try and demonize fox news"

um, yeah, karl... thats what fox news has been doing to the white house since day one. attacking them incessantly and deomonizing them, just like you are doing here.

      "chicago style politics"... please.

you should know about bush administration style politics since you were involved in all of it.

fox news should stop trying to legitimize itself as a news orginiaztion and just admit they are a wing of the republican party, they're just upset that the white house has finally gotten tired of it and called them out on it,,,people in glass houses shouldnt thrown stones,,particulary if as in the case of fox news,,they purposely distort and mislead the american people who watch their programs

Rove is the biggest hypocrite on the planet. Yeah, like he and Bush did not avoid challenging media for 8 years: only in their fictional world, maybe. In fact, in the first 4 years of Bush's reign, Rumsfeld was the only guy who answered difficult media questions. No wonder why he was one of the first to be sacrificed.

Other examples of Rove being a hypocrite:
      - his W.S.J. criticisms of Obama for big spending and deficits (as if Bush had none).
      - his W.S.J. criticisms of Obama for talking about "creating or saving jobs" (Bush administration used the same terminology).

and if you do a Google search for "Rove hypocrite", you will find many many more examples.

It's worth noting that this is the same man who published in the Wall Street Journal only two months earlier his own enemy list, having the New York Times and Washington Post on it. Here is the link:

      http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203550604574360500363745662.html

Here is a quote from the article:
Unfazed by facts and left with nothing to support their suspicions, the Times and Post editorial boards and Judiciary Democrats now seem to hope that special prosecutor Nora Dannehy, who is looking into the U.S. attorneys removals, will dig up something that implicates me.
