Fox News is finally starting to earn their true Reputation as the Network of Smear.
Perhaps Fox News could win that coveted MMFA Mis-informer of the Year?
News Corp. "A Racist Enterprise" Known for blowing Smoke out their Rear.
Speak truth to power.
Mr. News
Fox Entertainment would be the proper Nomenclature.
Didn't Fox have a Professional Wrestler as a Stock Analyst?
How about a Fox News show called "Hell in the Cell" Hmm, Could we have Hulk Hogan as one of the Panellist?
Speak truth to power.
Mr. News
If Mr. Hill knew how to Bow Down like Juan Williams he would still be able to pay his Bills.
Watching Jaun Williams Crawl before "O'Reilly the Tiller Killer" is hurtful to all Black Men.
Watching any Analyst on Fox News is Tantamount to a Herd of mindless cows being driven into a Stock Pen.
Speak truth to power.
Mr. News
Yes, supposedly independent reporters, media organizations and interest groups are walking in lockstep with a coordinated White House effort to smear another independent media organization. When media take marching orders from the White House -- rather than be skeptical of that White House -- we live in scary times
It's a VAST LEFT WING CONSPIRACY!!!
FoxNews has done it to themselves with their behavior.
But, once again, we see that someone on the right is trying to claim victim status because they're being held to account for their own behavior.
A guilty man is not a victim of the criminal justice system when he's sentenced for his crime. FoxNews is not being smeared by being called sleazy and unprofessional when that's how they're behaving!
stop painting these broad strokes and give us examples or mind your manners.
Not only can we find numerous instances of the media overblowing President Obama's negatives, we don't really have to stretch too far to say that the Bush White House garnered more favorable coverage than any Administration, ever.
But you knew that, didn't you.
No, we LIVED through the scary times when the drunk cowboy and your hero Dick Cheney - Evil Personified - were calling the shots.
reporters? they have reporters at fox?
Congratulations to some with access to tv cameras for finally beginning to state the obvious. What took you so long?
All I ever see from the left is accusations of Fox lying, yet nothing to back it up.
They are presented on a regular basis here, and other places too.
People like you, who say that they haven't seen the offensive behavior that FoxNews has clearly exhibited, just don't want to see it.
If you want to see that evidence, open up your eyes.
Because your implication that there's no substance to the accusations is ludicrous.
Fox's new defense for everything is accusing the other side of that which they are doing at that very moment. Top of the list is saying Democrats avoid the issue and attack their opponents. This is not going to work if you are defending a group that has no plan. They obviously do it when there's no one around to debate the issues with.
MSNBC does not do this. They don't present just one side of the story, like FoxNews recently did with the recent discussion on global climate change. They don't leave off relevant data like FoxNews did with the recent Jennings/16 yr old student story. They don't fail to vet those who come on their shows like FoxNews did with the recent ACORN videographers. They don't lie about important details, like Glenn Beck did with regard to Van Jones only thinking about being a communist for a few years, and that he is no longer a communist.
I could go on and on.
When we look at the tag lines for Fox (Fair and balanced) and MSNBC (The Place for Politics), two very different claims are being made.
I have no problem with Fox having an extreme right slant - only with the notion that they are a news network. I assiduously avoid using the word "news" in the title. They are simply "Fox". They have a right to their extreme position, but they have no right to the title "Fox News".
my thoughts exactly. when you have a slogan that claims it is something that it isnt, you end up having to honor that claim, and when you dont, you look foolish, which is the case with fox.
msnbc is simply "the place for politics", and thats it. it is straight to the point and true... they are "the place for politics". you dont see msnbc talking about tabloid news or running with stories that are missing pertinent facts.
needless to say, fox news does.
No they are:
I wish he would bail from fox.
Shep should ask his agent to look into a trade. Smith from fox to CNN for Dobbs.

Kurtz literally tries to deny what even a five year old would know, namely that Fox is a rightwing propaganda network. He tries to wiggle out of it by saying individuals on Fox may be rightwing but the network as a whole isn't.
Huh? If ever there were a distinction without a difference! The denial here is overwhelming. Why does Kurtz think all the rightwingers watch Fox?
Then even worse, he indulges in a bit of classic Villager Derangement Syndrome by implying that this whole dispute (whose legitimacy he doesn't have the honesty to acknowledge) is Good News for Fox!
This is nothing but an example of how the Mighty Wurlitzer circles the wagons.
Why does Fox outdraw all other cables? Must be a lot of rightwingers in the audience. I thought the left was the dominant, the largest voting bloc in America.
The left is afraid of Fox, because Fox allows another perspective to be heard than the one "controlled by" the Obama administration (their words).
We're not afraid of Fox. We're just in love with the truth, and the truth is, Fox is a rightwing network. That's why you watch it all the time. And it's hardly a controversy for anyone in the Obama Administration to simply state what everyone knows.
Jeez, that's all those officials are saying. Get over it.
The same can be said about "yellow journalism" (although it didn't get called that until the latter part of the 19th century). Fox applies this as the norm.

Let's call it as we see it - Fox uses distortions of the truth and lies to promote an agenda. Who's agenda? The Republican party, or at least the extreme right-wing elements.
Example of a Fox lie can be seen here when Major Garrett and Fox edited a clip to claim Gibbs brought up a WH list first, when Garrett clearly did:

Yeah, I didn't think so.
I refuse to watch CBS, NBC, ABC or Public TV. They are like Hillary - they lie when the truth would be better. An independent news institution is an important part of our freedom, but most of the MSM is so in the tank for socialism/Obama that the odds of them being of any service to the public is very remote. The MSM of today reminds me of that old USSR news outlet - Pravda.
I see.
You do know, don't you, that relying of Faux News to provide you with 'independent analysis' of the MSM is like relying on Pepsi to provide you with 'independent analysis' on coke?
You're on a fool's errand, Ed.
I watched them for many years. They haven't changed. They haven't changed from the time they declared the U.S. victory during the Tet offensive a loss, they are the same.
I get my news from the internet. I don't have a functional TV. Why bother? - the faces of the liars change, but the lies keep flowing. Katie Couric is prettier (probably a lot smarter, too) than Dan Rather, but she is the same parrot, different feathers.
At least Fox apparently doesn't just read the White House Press releases and pretend to be an adversarial press. Even if Fox read GOP talking points (as the White House alleges), at least it would be different drivel.
