Why is the White House's "opinion" that FOX is not a legitmate news organization so extraordinary, Lou? The White House is echoing the opinion of what I am sure must be millions of people who are happy someone finally called out FOX. There is ample evidence that FOX offers distortion and outright falsehoods which bleed from its opinion section to its actual news coverage. And opinion is often presented as gospel truth when, in reality, it's just the opposite of truth.

Why is it so extraordinary for the White House to voice that opinion. Would you prefer that the White House be silenced?

      Tapper... Fox's next hire?

The White House is not judging the thousands who work for Fox News as all in the pocket of the Republican party. He's judging the overall finished product - what goes out over the air. The crriticism is at the "intent" of the programming (i.e. not news), and it's leveled at management.

Tapper should know this. He just chooses not to see it broadly (not good for a reporter, by the way)

God!! Tapper's such an idiot...........now they will use him to no end or at least until he's no longer "suitable".....And while I'm on this topic, is any one else sick and tired of the argument that the complaint of Fox isn't indicative of the entire network, but only the opinion shows? Even if that was the case, "opinion" shows, bear at the very least, the responsibility of factual commentary to base their so-called opinions on, not made up or grossly distorted fallicies. Since when did having an opinion show become an excuse for the shameful actions of these sorts? Last time I checked, it was Fox "News", not the "E" channel or the Food Network, where entertainment belongs. Joe Scarbourough, Tapper, and other "Fox-aid" drinking fools, should be embarrassed, but I guess for that to happen, you would actually have to care..........
