I don't think Jesus would ever hate him, but he, Donahue, and Dobson will have only each other to keep company after the rapture.

Oh, come on, Tman. Jesus would bitch slap this phony scuzbucket, given half a chance. Do you think that He would view Robertson as any better than the money changers in the Temple?

tman is correct. Jesus wouldn't hate him . . . that would be counter to His teachings. He might turn over his television program as Te did the money changers in the Temple, but e wouldn't hate Robertson. He didn't hate the money changers, their greed just angered him. Hatred and anger are two different emotions.

I don't know he might: When -Jesus was criticized by the Pharisees for not washing his hands before eating. He defends himself by attacking them for not killing disobedient children according to the commandment: “He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” (Matthew 15:4-7) Rotten Pharisees....

Christ Pat! Try making sense for once.

If someone's marriage is threatened because gays are permitted to marry, there are only two possibilities.

Either the marriage is headed towards failure already or one of the partners wants to hook up with somebody from his or her own team.

Hypocrisy is the act of pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that one does not actually have. Hypocrisy is thus a kind of lie. Hypocrisy may come from a desire to hide from others actual motives or feelings.

      Is that you Patty boy?????

I AM offended. And you people are hardly Christians. Replace the words "interacial couples" with homosexuals and see how that works for you. I hope you're humiliated beyond belief in the future for your disgusting bigotry.

"I promise you, Pat Robertson is none too crazy about interracial marriage, either."

I remember when his partner in hate, Jerry Falwell, died a while back. The news covered his more recent nasty statements (gays and feminists responsible for 9-11, etc.), but they barely touched on his views during the Civil Rights movement, which he pronounced "Civil Wrongs."

I recently heard a judge asked a simple question abot this position on gay marriage. "How are they going to destroy marriage?" So simple yet it has no answer because if you are so sure you should at least have one example on how marriage is going to be destroyed.

Why can't these people realize that a sin is a sin in God's eyes. If you truly believe that homosexuality is a sin then you better be prepared to look at your own life and evaluate the sin that is there. God doesn't rate sin, man does. If we are going to single out a particular group to look down upon and declare them sinful then the whole country needs to beware. The next thing that these ratical christians will do is single out people who are living together in sin, people who gossip, people who hate others, people who idolize money. I do not understand why the radical christian community has singled out one group who they look upon as sinful to try to deny them basic human rights. It's not our place to judge others. We can tell them our opinion but before we point out the speck in the homosexuals eye we need to fix the plank in our own. These are the type of people who keep others from going to church. Buchanon,Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and Colter are keeping more people from a relationship with Christ bc they are such hypocrites. Jesus will deal with them bc He specifically said in the bible that those who cause their brothers to sin will be punished. Their hate speech causes those who listen to them to "hate" a certain type of people and that is just wrong.

true. sin is simply "separation from God." i agree sin is not rated by God. but, this fellow and his peers will not be treated well by history. they are already looked upon like AL's old Governor, George Wallace and GA's 1970s Lt. Governor Lester Maddox... and that lot of backward, southern, ignorant bigots. yep, if they'd keep their mouths shut, nobody would know how ignorant they are. we should muster our strength to feel sorry for the lot.

With the divorce rates at about 50% heterosexuals are doing a fine job on "destroying" marriage themselves. Let's not forget Pat, the whole wing of Christianity that is not Catholicism gained its true momentum because someone wanted a divorce...

Christians offend me. They knock at my door and try to convert me. The stop me in the street pretending to ask for direction and then try to convert me. They always want o take the opportunity to pray when I'm around. Do they get the fact that they are just a group of people like any other and they wee once persecuted? Why would they persecute another group who are part of that group not by choice.

If you choose to be christian you are also choosing to be offended by homosexuals live with it and don't try and change or oppress to make your christian experience easier or better. Last time I check the christian experience was all about trying to be good in your own life pressing reset a few times and at least pressing rest just before you die. Then maybe you go to heaven.

If you are bothered by anyone when they are not dong anything to you you have a problem. You are asking for way too much. I'm not gay but I don't believe all other people exist for the sole purpose of make your christian experience pleasant. If it's a temptation to you you are lying to yourself but that's your own battle to fight because we don't all believe in Christianity.

Realistically, acceptance of homosexuality in general and gay marriage specifically will lower the divorce rate, since homosexuals will no longer have the motivation to enter a marriage with a member of the opposite sex for show or legal benefits. I'm really not sure what the downside is supposed to be, except for bigots and organized religion leaders who like people to believe that marriage is purely religious in nature.

Pat - let's see how this is supposed to work.

      Some gay couple gets married.

      My marriage will be affected.....how?

You "moral values" idiots have never explained that connection.

Never will either. Because there IS NO CONNECTION.

      Your morals ain't my morals.

Even if all the rules regarding marriage were abandoned, I have no idea how that's supposed to affect me. If my next door neighbor is marrying another man, his 16-year-old cousin and a goat in a polygamous wedding in his backyard, that doesn't change the dynamics of my marriage one iota. Never mind that gay marriage does not logically lead to any of those other things becoming socially accepted.

Part of the scare tactic here is the premise that marriage is important to people. Of course it is. That's exactly what makes the scare tactic so ludicrous, because I'm not going to let some completely tangential event affect something that's important to me.

Funny, it's always the "straight married dudes" that grab me under water in the whirlpool at the YMCA. I know I'm not trying to destory marriages. I was married and no gay man or woman had anything to do with the failure of my marriage. I guess these "straight married dudes" are not satisfied at home which would lead one to deduce that it's straight women who are out to destroy marriage given that their husbands are forced to seek satisfaction elsewhere.

This is outrageous! They weave words together in such a way that pretends to "fight a Christian fight." In reality it's about control, authority and judgement .. but mostly about raising funds! People get on the phone and send money when they throw flames on such issues. It's disgusting to imply that all the sweet men and women who seek marriage of the same sex are some how doing it all in the name of harming traditional marriage. So few buy this message any more, but those that do will send 700 club checks to fight this ..

What is gay marriage to them? I can't believe I used to watch this program as a kid. These people forgot about the gospel message while they developed a business of fundraising and throwing fire on issues that Jesus never emphasized. This hurts gays but more importantly it's such terrible PR for the church. Many many Christians believe in the right for all to marry (they are not speaking for all Christians!). It's so sad how many gay men and women feel shunned by the church. May God reign here despite the false teachings of the 700 club.
