I do however agree that the whole thing rush said regarding the fake Obama quotes, was stupid at the very least.
Also, you should change your name because we Texans don't want people like you.
The same thing is going on right now with the US Chamber of Commerce and the guy who faked representing the Chamber, in a news conference erroneously reporting that the Chamber changed its position and was now supporting Cap and Trade. When a REAL representative from the Chamber interrupted the news conference to tell all the reporters that the guy was perpetrating a hoax, the reporters from the so called "main stream" media told the real Chamber representative to shut up. In other words they would rather hear what they want to hear than the real truth. Now the guy is on the talk-show circuit telling his story and they're treating him as if he has some credentials.
The simple fact is that media has given away their real freedom and the US no longer has a free press. We are now more likely to hear the truth from The Daily Mail or Pravda.
He says "that the paper that Obama wrote".... but Obama didn't write it. He quotes the words as Obama's words but they aren't Obama's words.
So, the original blog has no sourcing, but he quoted it.
I think the SOLE reason this got brought up was so that he could compare THIS event with his being tarred with quotes he claims he didn't make.
He's trying the old false equivalency argument.
He's trying to pretend that this totally false story about Obama's thesis is comparable to his real documented racism that was muddied by some questionable quotes. He's not out to smear Obama, although that was a nice side benefit for him. He's out to try to provide cover for himself. He wanted to spread the talking point that both he and Obama were falsely charged.
But Rush wasn't falsely charged with being a racist. Obama was falsely charged with making these comments. They aren't in an equivalent position.

what has rush done to indicate he's a racist? The producer of his show "Bo Snerdly" aka James Golden(a black man) has been on his show for as long as I can recall. Why would a racist hire and retain a black man?

I think it demonstrates something about the mentality of the right at this point in time. They are so negative. They have so little confidence in themselves.
If they were truly confident about their chances in 2010, they would spend time talking about how awesome they are.
I guess they are banking on making people so angry at democrats that voters will go to the polls and vote conservative, no matter who the candidate is. See, I always figured people voted for the candidate they liked, not simply against the candidate they didn't like. The latter just doesn't seem very "American" to me.

FYI..Fox news was whinning about a conservative not being invited to the White House.. Pres. Obama did invite conservative media to the White House in Jan. Bush never invited a liberal news media to the White House. How soon Fox forget. What a bush of hypocrites.
BTW the 2 most played quotes now to attempt to prove Limbaugh is racist are "What I think here is a little social concern by the MEDIA (liberal media that is) for a black QB to do well in the NFL." - he was pointing out the racism that is taking place by the MEDIA.

He and Marvin Harrison are the two most classy individuals playing in the National Football League today, in skill positions. They just hand the ball back to the referee. They act like they’ve been there and done that, like scoring a touchdown is no big deal, they don’t taunt, they don’t act like they’ve been dissed or any of this. Let me tell you, the Chargers would not have lost that game were it not for a bunch of — I gotta be very careful here. It’s not just irresponsible, but there is a cultural problem in the NFL that has resulted in a total lack of class on the part of professional players….There’s something culturally wrong here that is leading to all this. Before proceeding further, note how the conservative complimented LaDanian Tomlinson and Marvin Harrison, two black NFL players. Now if Limbaugh was the racist, bigot, and/or racially-divisive character that he has been painted as, why would he lauding these two athletes?
The host then went to a commercial break, and since he had a very short segment afterwards (likely before the top or the bottom of the hour), he made a quick comment, which included the now-notorious “Bloods and Crips” phrase:
LIMBAUGH: Look it, let me put it to you this way. The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.
That would have taken an extra 20 sec on top of the 30 sec to source but ppl who dont listen to the facts want to paint someone else as racist.
Its gotten so nasty on the left that sprots reporters are telling Juan Williams to "go back to the Porch," while trying to get the facts reported straight.
In the future, please do better surfing before printing your biased views.

Rush is becoming desperate, likely because some are realizing he brings nothing more than hot air bullying to the table for the big bucks he gets paid. Advertisers are running away not toward him. Without positively impacting the bottom line his gig is in jeopardy.
Besides how much vile verbal vomit can one spew without it ultimately impacting one as an individual?
It' not that Limbaugh got duped that is so interesting. It is that people had little reservation to question that Obama would actually have written that. The irony is that it makes perfect sense that he would have.

But, lately I have found better things to listen to then Rush. It's like he has slipped into a overwhelming pool of I havn't gotten it anymore but I think I can fool everyone attitute.
Now, this Obama thing - a man who trusts a blog on the internet, who doesn't investigate for himeself to find the truth - has really lost touch with reality. He couldn't pick up the phone and call the "supposed writer" of the issue? Rush pick up the phone - reality is on the other end.
Limbaugh needs to know that his opinions and decisions has had an adverse affect on the public. As far as I know, he has no positive affect at all.

I guess Limbaugh could be like Al Gore who tried to steal the Presidental election from George Bush (remember they counted the votes in some of those close districts 4 times! Each time Gore lost) and the American public only to say years later (over and over again) that he was the guy who was going to be the next American president indicating that Bush really stold the election.

And their health bill is all for people who don't really need it. How many people do YOU know who need medical or hospital care RIGHT NOW and can't get it? How many people in your life? You people are going to pay for this not me. I have a few more years and I retire. How much do you like the government taking out those taxes out of your check right now? Well double what they took out. Thats what its coming down to. Do you need medical attention right now? How about your relatives? Or your friends? I didn't think so. Well you're going to have to pay for it anyways.
By the way last year I was in the hospital 3 months with a brain aneurism. Because I was out of work at the time it happened my insurance had lapsed. At the end of my hospital stay I owed everyone a total of 1/3 of a million dollars! But the programs the hospital had me sign up for paid almost everything. When the ambulance picked me up I passed out on the way to the hospital. I didn't recover for 3 weeks and was in a coma for part of that. They took care of me with no insurance. Who is not being taken care of in this country for medical reasons?
I had a friend who was from France. He said national health care there almost bankrupted the country. He said in his village that before national health care if someone had the flu
they would just tough it out. But after national health care if they had the flu they would just go to the hospital. And most of the time they would take an ambulance to get there. In France the ambulance would have to wait for the patient and then take them back home if they weren't admitted. The patient would be seen by the doctor because after all its free and the doctor would say "you have the flu" and the patient would go back home. My friend said he would see some of these people go to the hospital virtually every day only to be told "you still have the flu". When its their 'right' people don't care who pays for it. By the way if you don't believe this I used to work in hospitals in the 80's. I virtually saw people come back (to the ER) hours after they were first seen. Some people are really stupid about being sick. They would ask "its been 5 hours why don't I feel better?". Imagine how that is going to explode once they think its free or their right to be seen. Even for something trivial.
Gee. I've got a little bump on my arm that I've had for a month. Maybe I should go see a doctor. Oh thats right I have to pay for it. It doesn't bother me. It'll probably go away. But then once national health care comes in - baby I'm going.And I'll ask him (or her) about my hair loss, and for viagra and maybe out on a date. Who knows? Its free. Why not. By the way your sick kid can wait behind me while I ask about the viagra. After all its will be my right.
Why is O'bama and the democrats (and some republicans) pushing this so hard? Because they know when you give away something for nothing people will go for it every time. In short they are buying votes. Right now 87 million people in the US pay no taxes at all. Of course they are going to vote for free healthcare that someone else pays for.
The democrats get to add a whole new layer of government workers to the payroll which means they will get more people to vote for democrats in the upcoming elections. They give jobs to people and pay them more money than they can get on the open market and give them better benefits. Then those people are afraid to vote republican because republicans are suppose to reduce the size of government when they get into office. The 2 biggest voting blocks for the democratic party is minorities and government workers.
My word... my 1st grade teacher would have said, "Do two wrongs make a right?" He is not taking responsibility beacause other have done the same thing. In fact, it would have been a perfect chance for him to rise above those who also make false claims either knowingly or unknowingly.

People with opposing ideas are more upset with Rush than any other conservative talk show host because he has the loudest voice. Most other conservative talk don't have the following or base Rush has. So the others are mostly ignored by the left. Rush, on the other hand, is so prominent and has such a good base that the left can't ignore him. That's why they are so upset with him.
Its all about guts, no matter how big they are.
The best is that after he admits he was an ass for jumping the gun he said, "however... I have had this happen to me recently."

However, I feel certain that Mr. Limbaugh is correct in his assessment of our president. While I once believed President Obama to be a great man, those feelings have dwindled to my now barely being able to tolerate him.
He has lied to us.
He has disrespected our country.
He has shown his contempt for all things American in his interactions with other nations.
He is actively trying to destroy our free market economy.
He has proven that he is against the very thing he ran his campaign on - Hope. Unless it is hope for complete government dependence for all and control by a few.
His meaning of "Change" was not explained to us. Nor did the media press him to diagram it. And now - Now, we are learning that he means to "change" us into a debtor nation of fools who are led about by politician who's only goal is greater power.
Unfortunately, those very politicians have not taken into consideration that those debts will one day be called by the holder of those debts.
Perhaps Mr. Obama should recommend to his comrades that they all learn Chinese so they can continue to hold a leadership role when his "change" has been completed.
I suggest we all might do well to listen to Mr. Limbaugh and others who challenge President Obama. Perhaps they can push the President an his minions enough back from the edge of political decadence - that this great nation will be able to survive their political vandalism.
And to those who will respond to me with insults and claims that I am full of hate, etc. - Know this - I love America. I love all its people. And this President is my President too.
While I respect his office, it does not mean I will lower my expectations of any person who holds that position no matter how lovely, or charismatic, or charming, or personable. No man is greater than this Nation.

The smart people on Wall Street turned subprime main street mortgages into "hot securities" to make more mortgages to create more "hot securities" to make more subprime mortgages and so on. The Community Reinvestment Act was created to make banks accountable for reinvesting in the neighborhoods where they make a portion of their profits. The investments are for qualified small business, and qualified homeowners. There are plenty of responsible borrowers in economically depressed areas but the loans would be small. Banks want profits from economies of scale and economies of scope, and they want them quick so those areas are not profit attractive, other than for the profits from overdraft fees, that’s why banks are there (take don’t give).
The profits from economically depressed areas come from overdraft fees not interest on loans or the float on large balances; news reports have stated $37 Billion in profits from overdraft fees. These fees come from economically depressed areas where decent hard working legal immigrants live paycheck to paycheck. That has been the largest mechanism for distribution of wealth by big business for the last 20 years.
Target people that live pay check to pay check rearrange their checks and place a hold on their deposits with the potential to create fees. These fees flow to the income statement, statement of owner’s equity, and balance sheet of JPM Chase, B of A, Citi, TD Bank, and Wells Fargo where then share holders live large on them. Interest rates on credit cards can explode to 30% for a late payment without any forgiveness. The employees in local branches are put there because they look like, speak like and have recognizable names by their customers, but do not have the authority to help the community they serve; their job is to sell the fees and high interest charges period, for a salary that borders on the poverty levels. That is the mechanism for distribution of wealth that has been in effect for many years.
I assume you have become rather wealthy and want to make some investments for example buy an NFL team, buy a large house etc. We know how the NFL players feel about it. But lets talk about your house, probably large in a very nice neighborhood with lots of modern amenities, Jacuzzi, hidden wiring for TV's, and surround sound speakers. Would you have been able to afford your house if your contractor had not hired illegal immigrants and paid them below the minimum wage and no overtime? Building Contracting is a business notoriously infamous for cash transactions, illegal immigrants and price creep the customer.
I know that there is no way for you to know whether illegal immigrants worked on your house or not so give me the name of your contactor so I can investigate and see if you had the benefit of illegal immigrant labor. I am sure if you unknowingly did, you would want to rectify the situation immediately by paying them the minimum wage and time and ½ for any overtime. If that did happen legally you are responsible under the Fair Labor Standards Act(FLSA). If you are the beneficiary of laborers illegal or legal who were not paid according to the FLSA you owe them money.

What I want to know though is this-- does Limbaugh remember that our President was a Constitutional lawyer before going on to other things????? If he found so much disdain for the Constitution why would he make it his life work????

And it was Obama who said during a 2001 radio interview the constitution "says what the states can't do to you, it says what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf...maybe I'm showing my bias here as a legislator as well as a law professor, but I'm not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts."
Phony blog quotes or not; it is clear Obama is not a fan of the constitution in its current form and wants to change the country into something that is counter to what our founding fathers envisioned and how this country has operated for over 200 years.
So all of you nuanced liberal thinkers, use the analytical skills you all allegedly possess and lets be honest about who and what Obama is and represents. And keep in mind, liberals say it first, Limbaugh and his ilk are simply repeating it.

He does not care at all about his radio audience other than to make himself rich. He is a lot like an unscruptulous lawyer, where it doesn't matter what side he argues, as long as he can live the high life on it.
He would change sides and begin to argue the liberal side in a heart beat if that was where the money was.
