Doug Schoen is worthless. He agreed with Cheney's comments about Obama. Did he forget that for MONTHS, the Bush administration ignored requests for more troops in Afghanistan?!?!?

Obama doesn't want to make a rushed decision. Look what happened when Bush did. Yikes. The facts are there, plain as day, and Fox wants to ignore them. Sheesh.

The problem with both wars is that Bush didn't send in enough troops in the first place. His ego was so large he thought we could go in there with a fraction of the troops daddy Bush sent in the first Gulf War and win. He should have listened to his Generals in the first place and we wouldn't be in this position. Even daddy Bush told him not to go into Iraq. This is just another example of Obama getting smeared bc he's doing the same thing Bush did. I think it's admirable of Obama to actually put a little thought into putting our young men and women in danger. These kids that are going over there are just that, kids. It's time we find a different stategy that won't get hundreds of our troops killed. Why doesn't he just send in the special forces to get rid of the real terrorists on the Pakistan border.

I doubt, in looking at the video, that Shamity can't run and because he's talking football and not basketball, Pres Obama probably can't throw well. Not much of a summit (or game). Concede Shamity, you would be outmatched in a game of wits.

Please President Obama; DO NOT MEET WITH Sean Hannity. Clearly it would be a waste of your time and energy. As we all know, Hannity is an intellectual midget. Since he is dying to meet with an Obama, have him meet with "Bo", they have a lot in common.

That's a good question, noneyabidnis. Been wondering it myself. I pointed out at the beginning of the health coverage hoo-haw that real conservatives, convinced that private business could do a better job than government, would band together, gather capital, and start a nonprofit health insurance company. Working hard to deal with as many currently uninsured as possible, they would have a pool of some 50 million policy holders to draw from. Keeping administrative costs low, and working with local health providers to keep hospital and clinic costs reasonable, and concentrating on preventive care, I think they could've accomplished something. Rather than do that, though, they've let the kooks take over, and turned the whole health coverage debate into a joke where one side just reflexively yells 'No!', regardless of what is proposed.

I'm not really conservative or liberal. I tend to go on a case by case basis. Neither party gets any knee jerk support from me, though I admit to being a bit wary of the Republicans. After eight years of Bush/Cheney, I think most rational people would be unsurprised by that, though.

It's an outrageous and insulting conceit for this Republican media stooge hannity to think himself deserving of even a moment of the President's time.

As far as this guy hannity being a Republican, he does work for the Republican National Committee, doesn't he?

I have a better suggestion for this media stooge hannity (R), better than his "football summit" gimmick...

He (hannity) should go on the Ed Schultz Show, and work out on Ed first, before he sits down with the President.

Doesn't this media stooge hannity consider himself in the radio and television broadcast business of publicly discussing National Policy? That's the same business that Ed Schultz is in I believe, so shouldn't those two birds of a feather flock together? For that matter, I'd like to see hannity on the Colbert Report (but not on the Daily Show because JS is too weak and hannity would have his way with him)... either way, why do these Fox hacks hide out at News Corp headquarters, why don't they venture out onto the other radio and television shows, and triumphantly make their National Policy arguments in debate with Ed Schultz or any other credible media political commentator... actually, were hannity to go on Colbert's show, it wouldn't even be in opposition or debate, but they'd be able to both gang up on President Obama, wouldn't they?

I think something like that, or maybe the Ed Schultz Show or even Countdown w/KO (or better yet with David Schuster or Lawrence O'Donnell), I think that to be a more appropriate forum for the Republican media stooge hannity, than this ridiculous and insulting "football summit" gimmick.

Birds of a feather are supposed to flock together, so why do hannity and o'reilly and even dick morris and others at Fox too, why do they roost only at Fox News Channel, and never venture out into places where the more credible members of their profession can oppose and debate them (and in the case of Colbert, maybe satirize them mercilessly right to their stupid faces, like Colbert did wonderfully to william kristol http://crooksandliars.com/2006/04/28/colbert-shakes-up-bill-kristol-over-pnac-ties/ ).

I checked out a little Hannity, and have to admit it was pretty funny. Sissy Sean, some Republican puppet Republican woman, Hugh Hewitt, and Doug Schoen (mentioned above as worthless, a generous description of this Fox "democratic strategist)

Like a bunch of children told they weren't going to the party for behaving like idiots, they were desperately trying to restrain themselves and pretend to be an adult political discussion type of program, completely baffled as to how the president could dare to notice that they're a pure propaganda outlet.

Funniest bits: Hannity mentioning that he's been on the air for years, they could "probably" find some tape of him unfairly bashing a Democrat.

and Schoen, sucking up to Hannity by saying that as long as he told the truth, he was always treated fairly at Fox.

And Hewitt explaining that this was not a "shout show", as the four whores, all on the same payroll, agreed about everything and managed not to screech.

Agreed. It's unfair to compare The Colbert Report and The Daily Show with respect to the hosts fiery debate capacity. Stephen Colbert plays a character, albeit a brilliant one, but nonetheless it's a character. Its genius comes from exposing the distorted values and pure hypocrisy of the Republican party by playing the part of a selfish, narcissistic "Christian" conservative. With this in mind, he, also, in large part features liberal/Democrat/progressive guests which is necessary in order to maintain his gimmick; so, in all fairness Colbert rarely has intense debates. On the other hand, Jon Stewart primarily focuses on exposing the media/Republican party by simply mocking them from a lierbal stance. Therefore, it easier to feature conservative guests on his show because of the way the show operates thus fostering the opportunity for more conventional debate.

The president would run mental laps around Hannity and get Sean all dizzy. My sentiments exactly.

SeannietheSissyBoyQB wants an audience with the President just as much as I'd like to have one with Lucia Dvorska. Our chances are the same.

Seannie, what exactly do you think would happen? When you start you gatling gun remarks filled with descriptive adjectives, the Prez may take about 10 minutes correcting your grammer just as Sister Mary Goody Gundy should have done in grade school. Seannie, you don't qualify for an interview because you are a COMMENTATOR. Journalists are first on the list..you should agree with that.

And in closing to a fine week of watching Fox being exposed to the world in a brilliant strategic move by the White house, I can only ask SeannietheQB if he can throw that football more than 10 yards? I get the feeling that as a child, he was never invited to play with the boys because of the shorts and bowtie Mommy Seannie dressed him in.

Sean, seriously, you are not in Obamas' league and should work hard and get drafted into the bigs before demanding a meeting with the Commish.

i am totally behind the white house exposing fox news. however, i think obama should still go on fox for interviews. when obama did the o'reilly show he came out looking better. actually i think he should go on fox and friends, glenn beck and hannity! it would be great to see him do a surprise visit. i can see it now, as gretchen carlson is beginning her daily hit job on president obama, he sneaks into the studio behind her, the camera guys star to giggle, she looks around aimlessly, looking puzzled, and turns around to see obama smiling! okay, that will never happen, but i think it could only help him to go on fox, because he would be seen as presidential and conciliatory, as i believe obama is anyway. the fox people are the petty ones here.

Hannity comparing himself to world leaders(except Rev. Wright), priceless!! He is a smear merchant, a propagandist. World leaders discuss world affairs and try to reach agreements to keep the peace. Regardless of the leanings of these leaders, diplomacy is always the first, and hopefully the only course to pursue. Fox "news" and Hannity have done absolutely nothing but attack President Obama since he took office, and they think that he should sit down and talk to them? I voted for Obama because he campaigned as a progressive, I'm disappointed in Obama because he has governed as a centrist. Imagine how out of whack these clowns at Fox would be if he actually governed as he campaigned.
