Yet his outrage sounds so fake and hollow. Really, if he were genuinely angry, I bet he would be foaming at the mouth.

I always like the "we can't put people out of work" logic when applied to socially harmful industries. That's like saying, "Well, World War II is over, and I'd like to close the death camps, but that would put so many people out of work..."

What a freakin' moron! These giant multinational insurance corporations that deny our claims and reject those among us with 'preexisting conditions' because they might gnaw away just a touch at their monstrous profits are US? These bloated oil and energy conglomerates that periodically raise prices through the roof are US? So, we're robbing OURSELVES blind? You'd think that we'd look out for ourselves a little better than that, wouldn't you? If Quinn is right, then we don't appear to care about ourselves very much.

Jeez, but what a shameless tool this guy is.

If you are against the monstrous profits of the Health insurance industry, I'm sure you don't carry homeowners or auto insurance (especially if you have any toys (motorcycles, boats, RVs)) or that you don't frequent McDonalds or Jack-in-the-Box or any of the Yum brand fast food stores. Those, among many other businesses (including farm equipment) carry a higher profit margin (%).

I do carry auto insurance, Oscar, I'll give you that. However, as a resident of the state of California, I'm REQUIRED to carry auto insurance. There is, however, no public option that I can turn to in order to provide the state-supplied competition necessary to drive down their prices. I do also carry homeowners insurance, but this too is a requirement of of the terms and conditions of my mortgage. But I can proudly proclaim that I do NOT "frequent McDonalds or Jack-in-the-Box or any of the Yum brand fast food stores". It's simply because it's NOT FOOD that they serve there, but unhealthful, artery-clogging, organ-stressing, and energy-sapping crap spiced up with so many toxic chemicals that you'd think the parent company was Monsanto. In fact, they are to food what Quiney, Limpballs, Dreck, Insanity, and numerous others of their hateful ilk are to public discourse.

I'm against the monstrous profits and lack of equitable treatments of the health insurance industry. I carry homeowners insurance and auto insurance because I am required to do so; however, the combined premiums of both of those policies amount to around $1100/year. If I could find an insurance company which would insure me [pre-existing conditions], it would cost almost that much PER MONTH for health insurance.

I NEVER go to McDonalds or Jack in the Box and rarely go to any other Yum brand fast food store. Too expensive. I also don't have a lot of "toys." I also do not use my central heating and cooling system because I REFUSE to pay the exorbitant utility costs. I'm very, very frugal.

I pretty much despise ANY business who gouges customers in the interest of monstrous profits.

Funny, when they attack the oil companies, when they attack the insurance companies, I don't feel like I'm being attacked. I feel like I'm being stood up for.

Frankly, I'm pretty sick of being told that I'm "supposed" to be on the side of insurance and oil companies, and that when they are being asked to do something for the good of the nation, it's an attack on ME. I wish these corporations would stop trying to hide behind me and fight their own battles. And lose.

I wonder how Quinn would feel if someone used that word he used to describe Pelosi against, say, Sarah Palin.

Or how would you feel if Rep Grayson was treated the same way as Imus?

I didn't know that Representative Grayson HAD a talk show. But, since Grayson... to my knowledge... has never called anybody a "b*tch" OR a "nappy-headed ho", you have no real point.

HUH? That comparison makes NO sense whatsoever.

As for Imus, I actually like Imus. Don't always agree with him and am sometimes offended by his bizarre remarks, but he doesn't offend me. I think that beneath that really crusty exterior is a good heart.

I think that Imus and Grayson are a lot alike in that they both say pretty much whatever is on their minds without much restraint.

I think this orangutan, is on radio, because he is just too pretty for TV. It would be too distracting. He is so brilliant, we need to get him to run for office, anywhere, just not in this country.
