Notice Malkin's look? It's as if she's thinking, "Hannity, you're deviating from our handler's script!"
As long as there are the right trigger words, and some waving around of a pen, and sneering mention of prominent Democrats, the Fox Fans are comforted.
But on topic, I'm feeling just fine today, so it is a very critical time for me to not have health care. I don't want some socialist thugs barging into my home, throwing me in a van, and taking me down to the doctor's office for a checkup. Freedom !
Who are you talking to, Salg? Who are "you people" and where did you get the idea they need the government to take care of them?
i guess i missed it. :)

A lot of conservatives seem to be that way, which is where all the projection comes from. It's a defense mechanism against the inevitable cognitive dissonance of saying one thing and doing the opposite. Conservatives know the truth is that they believe in fiscal responsibility the way a rattlesnake believes in diplomacy, and they hate that about themselves, so they accuse others of fiscal irresponsibility as a distraction. Conservatives know that they believe in national security the way a burgler believes in burglar alarms, and they hate that about themselves, so they accuse others of being weak on security. Conservatives know that their most visual spokespeople are liars, hate and fear mongers, hypocritical drug addicts, sexual predators and make-believe patriots who wouldn't serve their country even if all it meant was asking if their country wants fries with that burger, and they hate that about themselves, so they accuse others of immorality. Conservatives know that most elected officials who represent their views are as corrupt as last month's leftovers, war mongers, profiteers, perverts, pedophiles and corporate welfare queens whose only chance of winning elections is through deception, smear campaigns against decorated veterans, concealing their intentions and motivations, gerrymandering, voter intimidation, roll purges, phone bank jamming and rioting to try and stop the counting of votes, and they hate that about themselves, so they accuse others of being unethical. Conservatives know that they couldn't debate their way through a spelling bee, and they hate that about themselves, so they accuse others of having no ideas. Conservatives know that most conservatives without an inheritance couldn't earn a living even if all they had to do was spin a web and wait because spinning the web would be too much trouble, and they hate that about themselves, so they accuse others of living off the largesse of government while they collect their corporate welfare dividends. Conservatives believe that earning a living and earning interest are the same thing, and I suppose that's the one thing they don't hate about themselves.
As another poster observed, being a conservative is so easy a caveman could do it. The irony is that while a caveman could be a conservative because it's so easy, a conservative couldn't be a caveman because it would be too much like work.
It's another area of projection , of course, along with all of the others you mentioned. One of the most important themes on right wing talk radio is the fantasy that half of this country is hard-working conservatives, and the other half is free-loading liberals.
Somehow, this medium that depends on people with nothing to do all day but listen to repetitive propaganda and wait on hold for hours, is dominated by these industrious folks.
Look at the conservative hatred for "welfare queens". I personally don't like the idea of those gaming the system, or abusing social programs, but I don't feel angry at anybody. I feel more grateful that I was raised with a good work ethic, and that I would never feel entitled or be content living on a government pittance. The anger that rightys have towards those who live of the government can only be attributed to jealousy.Whenever I hear one railing against freeloaders, I get the feeling that they're mostly mad that they haven't figured out how to live that (fictional) luxurious lifestyle.
Take taxes. The only time taxes really killed me was in high school, when I got my first non-cash job. I was outraged at the 20 bucks or so taken out of my first paycheck.I figured it out pretty quickly, work harder and make more. As long as I did that, I had more money after taxes. Anybody whose primary financial concern is taxes, I have to assume is either not working very hard, or not living within their means.
I subscribe to a couple of online right wing sites for their newsletters, and you wouldn't believe the number of get-rich-quick and lose-weight- without -exercise scams that are targeted at the wingnuts.
But those are all details. At it's core, and by definition, conservatism is a philosophy that is anti-progress.That's easily translated as anti-work. The laziness is often apparent in the thinking of many rightys, one may even respond to this to provide an example.
Sure I would...just look at rush and you'll see that they don't work.
The fact that Reagan's "welfare queen" was fictitious didn't stop him from riding her into the presidency.
I heard a line from Melville, the other night, Col, that I really liked. It said that there is nothing so contemptible as the rich and well-fed denigrating the desperately poor.
See the left and dems know that without the poor or the uneducated they are nothing. We try to instill morals and values into society, we have honor, faith and pride in ourselves and our country. We know our country has done bad things in the past, but we will not apologize for our country because we know that its the greatest, most generous country that ever existed and more american blood has spilled freeing people all over the globe then probably the rest of the world combined.
All the problems of society revolve around the liberal "Progressive" Idiology. The destruction of morals and responsibility is all due to your me me me mentality. Every major city in this country like Detroit where i am from are run by liberal dems, detroit for the past 50 yrs, and look at the shape of them all. Look at the kids in this country because of your way of thinking, they all expect something for nothing.
That CONSERVATIVE IDEOLOGY of rugged individualism and pulling yourself by your bootstraps is in todays reality nothing more than a load of crap.
You sure are lazy.
