If Beck were helping Noah, I'd take my chances with Gilligan and The Skipper.

        No he doesn't, shaggles.

        Genesis 9:12-15 reads

        12) And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

        13) I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

        14) And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

        15) And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

So, if Noah were alive today, the first thing he'd say is likely "Whoa! That was weird." Then he'd spot Beck and his ark building, and make him stop that foolish nonsense. "God said no more flood, Glenn."

Unlike most Christians on TV, I actually read my Bible, though not as much as I should.

Glenn Beck is amormon. The bible they quote is much different than a King James version and none of their edifices contain a cross. .

I'm not a Fundamentalist, so I don't have a literal view of the Bible. Also, from history and literature classes, I recognize that the Noah/Flood story is taken from the Mesopotamian epoch poem Gilgamesh. I don't get your point Glenn, are you saying that God is going to wipe us out for being too liberal? I saw a bumper stick a couple of months back. It said "Get Right, or get left." I'll be left behind, thank you.

You've heard of a Messiah Complex? Beck suffers from the rarer Noah Complex. Or maybe both.

Or Noah might use the hammer for something else, Glenn...self-defense, hunting, hammer-throwing target practice, or maybe he just likes collecting hammers.

If Noah had a box of hammers, that box would be more intelligent than Glenn Beck.

I for one would love to help Beck build an ark. As long as he get's on it and promises to never come back.

The Republicans do not need scientific evidence; they need loosely correlated and slightly manipulated scripture to affirm their beliefs.

So, if you're telling me God is the one inflicting climate change on us, then I believe you. If you're telling me that people are causing it based on carbon dating and scientific evidence revealing a spike in atmospheric carbon levels since the industrial revolution, then I am obligated to tell you that you're lying for the vast left-wing conspiracy.

I mean what is "science" anyways? Numbers, equations, and theories? IPODs? I'll stick to my 2,000+ year-old book for the truth. Thank you.

Isn't using a metaphor as a metaphor for another metaphor rather redundant?

      Beck is borderline jihadist here.

The religious armageddon thing again, really? Do you know what happens when even crazier people than yourself (I know, breathe that one in) listen to this and take you seriously? I know that you're doing it for a paycheck, but they think you're doing it because you love your country. Those suckers believe you actually care about them. Well Beck, as a dutiful citizen I am begging you to give up the charade before something terrible actually happens to this great nation of ours.

Err, Glenn? You realize God choose Noah's family because Noah was the last good man on Earth and everyone else was sinful and needed to die, right? Even if you help Noah, unless you're his son or one of their spouses, you're not getting on board. You should really just live in ignorant bliss while Noah takes care of the boat. You'll get nothing out of it.

all Beck is concerned about is how much his ratings and his bank account increases,,,he's using the fear and some im sure legitimate concerns that people have about the economy and health care to exploit that fear and whip people into acting irrationally rather then actually sit down and have a civil conversation. i only widh the tea-baggers and birthers and other conspiracy theorists out there listening to Beck and Limbaugh and Mr i lie and mislead the american people Hannity are laughing all the way to the bank while the rest of us continue to struggle and make do with what we have
