Limbaugh: We can say Scozzafava is "guilty of widespread bestiality; she has screwed every RINO in the country"

LIMBAUGH: Scozzafava has screwed every RINO in the coun -- we can say that she's guilty of widespread bestiality. She has screwed every RINO in the country. Everyone can see just see how phony and dangerous they are. You know, 2010 might be a nightmare for PETA. Two animals may become extinct; RINOs and Blue Dog Democrats. Pelosi's gonna kill off the Blue Dogs, and the conservatives are gonna finally get rid of RINOs. The American people have had enough.

          DeDe Scozzafava is a public figure, so the rules of slander are a great deal higher than if he was talking about you or me, but I think under these circumstances, a judge might entertain a slander suit. She is a married woman, a mother and a grandmother to boot, that was just nasty.

            I find that incredibly unlikely. If Larry Flynt can run a parody in which Jerry Falwell lost his virginity to his mother in an outhouse, then Limbaugh can make a tasteless joke about bestiality. Like it or not, it's very clearly not supposed to be a genuine accusation that people are inclined to believe. There's no serious possibility of any harmful effect to her career or finances because of that, so any decent defense attorney would have that suit thrown out in no time flat.

            Explain how the family values party laughs at this?

            We understand sarcasm and a lot of other things about which your side hasn't a clue, like compassion, class and the proper target of sarcasm.

            Sarcasm and humor works best, when the person being sarcastic or trying to be funny is also able to have humor or sarcasm directed towards them. And no one one the right has that ability. Whenever they're the subject of humor they cry about being personally attacked for being conservative or a christian. Rush and his followers have the "whiney little bitc_es routine down pat!

                There are a few posters in this thread that you haven't yet accused of having no sense of humor.

                Maybe you don't remember fox News' "The 1/2 Hour News Hour"

                Even though it was only half an hour, it seemed much longer.

                Or how about "An American Carol" the hit movie staring every right wing bedwetter they could find in Hollywood. Christ, they even dug up Gary Coleman, but it fizzled.

                Remind us again of what rightwingnut humor entails. Don't bother telling us about GWB's hysterical search under his desk for weapons of mass destruction as Americans were dying in a real search.

                  A simple rule of thumb for right wing humor: it generally consists of left wingers or minorities being injured or killed.

                  Sort of that, bestiality will do.

        And wingnut women who listen to Rush are probably sitting back laughing at his tacky comment. They probably do not even realize it was men like Rush who did not want to women advance in our country- keep em' barefoot and pregnant- no voting, no jobs just petticoats and baking bread.

        It was more so a play on words than a metaphor, I think. He used the term 'RINO' rather than 'rhino' to paint Scozzafava as a traitor. Moreover, it came off as sexist rather than disgusting. Then again, those adjectives seem to be one in the same.

          Tonuge in cheek comment of course. Though, I think it was the beastality reference with the repeated references to the animals "RINO"(x4) and "Blue Dogs"(x2) as well as the reference to PETA within a thirty nine second quote that caught my attention.

            Well, naturally, given your icon, (you know how those things reproduce) you're going to see animals everywhere!

            The rest of us are far too sophisticated to think of canines when we read "dogs," or fur-bearing animals when we see, "Peta." :)

      And this is the alleged "big party" tent, which will welcome anyone, as long as they bow down to the powers that be, and be sufficiently "conservative" enough. If they're not, they're cast out. No room for moderates folks. No room for having different opinions about policies or politics. No sir. No room for dissention at all.

      The democratic party, far from being perfect, you will see a range of attitudes and opinions represented by all of our members.

      As much as my present disdain for Joe Lieberman reaches record heights, I would never use such a vile attack as this under the guise of humor and entertainment. If this is the treatment that Scozzafava (yes she has a view liberal ideas), a lifelong and very loyal Republican gets, there is not one GOP'er who should not be looking at their backs. Not since the Nazis and Communists have we seen such purges for the sake of party purity.
      Yes, I know that we all criticized the tea baggers for their Nazi references, but if the analogy does not fit here, it comes dangerously close.
