I thought the GOP was the "big party" tent, as in, everyone is welcome. As long as you conform to the principles of conservatism espoused by Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, et all.
Eventually, a new tent will be built, the old one is nearly burnt down.
We knew Peggy and Newt were goners for showing erratic spurts of rationally, but GWB?
Rush, when did you drop your hero down the drain? Thanks for telling us now after 8 years of rear-kissing fanboy fanaticism.
"I'm Governor of California".
(may be too obscure for those who haven't heard it)
So the GOP is morphing into the party of idiots.. One must not forget it was GW Bush who divied this country into two distinct populations, either you are with us or you are with the terrorrists an invoking patriotism while oing so, and the GOP'rs carried on without abatement. As long as RupertMuroch and Roger Ailes gives these guys a voice, this will not end.
Like the GOP moderates who thought that they would be able to shut off the crazy pundits and tea baggers when they needed to and now find their behinds on the chopping block, Rush, beck, Hannity, etal, need to realize that the purge for conservative purity may get them, too.
While the Democrats give Joe Liebermann fluffy pillows and a comfy chair while he stabs them in the back, look how the Republicans are treating its party faithful. Now what political parties are know for purges? You have the Republicans, the Communists, the Nazis....
Part of a long, slippery slope that will certainly be interesting and--in a strange way--kind of sad to watch. It's like Howard Beal on the radio
