My attorney and I agree we could win a committment proceeding against Glenn Beck, showing beyond a mere preponderance of the evidence that Glenn Beck is mentally unstable to such an extent that he poses a threat to himself and others.

Please take that to court Glenn. The judges need a good laugh.

The real case will be for conspiracy to commit after one of his followers commits the inevitable acts of violence.

Indeed! Remember when Fox News sued Al Franken (his book Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them had as a subtitle "A Fair & Balanced Look at the Right")? The judge said that Fox's case was "wholly without merit," and it was basically laughed out of court.

I just love it when the "thumbers" thumbs down a true and factual post. Their lack of intelligence and their total slavishness to their uneducated, dishonest heroes on Fox and hate talk radio is ASTOUNDING and really very, very sad!

Attorney: "Yeah Glenn, I mean, there's two standards in law - there's a civil standard, preponderance of the evidence, and then beyond a shadow of a doubt."

Our common law system has established THREE standards of proof:

      1) Preponderance of the Evidence (civil)
      2) Clear and Convincing Evidence (civil)
      3) Reasonable Doubt (criminal)

Black's Law Dictionary (the most widely used law dictionary in the country)

I think Beck needs a new attorney...

Please Santa, please! Please can we have Glenn and his attorney draw this up and state his "case". It would be the best present ever!

Let me just grab some popcorn and a Snuggie....

Is this the place where we post baseless, unintelligent comments about how we think Beck is crazy but really have no idea what we are actually talking about and have no sensible argument against him and his conclusions?

      *Beck walks into the courtroom*

Judge: Okay, now, before you start, I'd like to offer you an insanity plea where you'll simply undergo a therapy program rather than being locked away. Deal?

Beck: *starts whimpering like a baby* OR *starts claiming the judge is Obama's personal legal bodyguard and Obama knew Beck was coming to this courtroom because he's been bugged by Nazi socialists* (depending on his mood)

Judge: ...Okay never mind. Take him away.

      *sigh* a man can dream.
