The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution was launched by Mao Zedong, the chairman of the Communist Party of China, on May 16, 1966, who alleged that "liberal bourgeois" elements were permeating the party and society at large and that they wanted to restore Capitalism. He insisted that these elements be removed through pre-revolutionary class struggle by mobilizing the thoughts and actions of China’s youth.

      Projection at its finest!

Jealous much? Conservatives are required to bow to the feet of Sir Ronnie Reagan. But when the public likes someone not part of the conservative orthodoxy, you are all of a sudden Mao, Hitler or Stalin.

how can anyone take krauthammer seriously. he's a partisan republican. for whatever reason, he is looked to as an intellectual and a great thinker. it's funny how such a "great" mind comes to the same tired partisan conslusions. to campare obama's victory to the chinese cultural revolution is irresponsible journalism at best.

Actually, Krauthammer isn't so much a partisan republican as he is a looney tunes, card carrying neo-conservative who believes that he is of the "ELITE" class. The rest of us are the great unwashed. For the great unwashed to actually decide to vote AGAINST what he, one of the "elite" neo-conservatives" wanted just HAS to be evil. After all, he's so much smarter than everyone else in the world besides the other "elites" in his group like Kristol, Wolfowitz, etc.

        He's a creep.

I know talking crap about the handicapped isn't cool, but when someone like Krauthammer has that much hatred for humanity, and he's in a wheelchair, I'm sorry, he comes off like a supervillain.

Krauthammer dresses his racism up in all kind of pretty costumes.Any time any movement leaders are not jewish or white is always refered to as evil or childs play. But it makes no difference how Krauthammer dreses it up.A rose is a rose, and s-it is s-it.

When I was an undergraduate studying Poli Sci, Krauthammer was rather respectable in the field of international relations. I had a lot of respect for him being a very intelligent person. I did not necessarily agree with everything he wrote, but it seemed well thought out and rational. Four years of respect has now been flushed down the toilet, after only a few months of him comparing Obama to Mao and Hitler.

I really wish Krauthammer would actually be one of the few reasonable people on FNC. It seems like the only one at FNC with the left half of his brain is Colmes, and he should have jumped ship a long time ago.

I'm not even sure about Colmes anymore, since he takes part in the promo spot for FoxNation and speaks of the site's commitment to tolerance and civil discourse with a straight face.

Well, it's clear Krauthammer doesn't know a thing about the Cultural Revolution. Then again, since he's talking to Fox viewers there's not much chance they'll know anything either.

"Crowds chanting childish slogans," you say? That's funny, I'm trying to remember you saying something similar in August when all those loons were yelling, "Hear my voice!" at the top of their lungs, but it's just not coming to mind.

Charles, when Roger Ailes showed up on your doorstep and challenged you to a fiddle contest, you should have just said no.

Wasn't Krauthammer recently mentioned as a journalist who was respected by left and right alike? Weird.

I think he's respected by those who think the left and right are alike. It's not quite the same thing...

Krauthammer: Obama's 2008 campaign resembeled China's Cultural Revolution
And it beat the pants off the GOP.

And you, Mr. Krauthammer, very strongly resemble a Romulan. Here, hold this tribble and prove you are an American citizen and not an alien trying to destroy our country. Whuh? This tribble doesn't seem to like you, Mr. Krauthammer...
