        And still no takers?

Must be a one of those well written books like "A Charge to Keep" (Bush)or "I Told You So" (Jeff Christie)... not that I care to waste my time with any of that kind of drivel!

Well, it's 5 bucks for the book and 6 bucks for shipping. Newsmax may be able to slip that by most of their not-so-savvy audience.

The brighter wingnuts will go to Conservative Book Club, where they're constantly trying to unload these dogs for a dollar each.

MAybe they should shift their efforts to books on cd, or pop-up books. Know your demographic, businesspeople.

I think there was a major overestimation on Palin's part as to how many of her fans like books. She should have asked the advice of some other, non-crazy people.

She needs to fade into oblivion. If she pursues national office, the gloves are off and it's no holds barred.

She epitomizes the "Dark Ages" wing of the Republican party:
              Fiscally conservative in name only,
Social and national security policies fresh from the Inquisition,
Anti-intellectualism to the point of Luddism,
Religiosity to the point of Druidism,
all wrapped up in a juicy faux "USA #1" flag-waving patriotism.

              Makes my skin crawl.

There is a fellow here in St. Louis who makes it a point to travel around to all of the St. Louis County Library branches and the Headquarters Library buying up the used copies of books written by right wing nut jobs. He told an Obama hater that he was buying Jerome Corsi's discredited hatched job of the President, not to read, but because he takes all of these books home and burns them so that the books can no longer contaminate society.

I think we should all mock Sarah Palin, mock her acheivements, mock her family, and in the end we might drive anyone with a different point of view out of the public square where ideas are discussed. That's what would make me happy. Let's keep mocking her and her ideas until she goes away. That's the America I want to live in.

Mock her ideas? You mean like her "death panel" ideas?

The only thing I agree with you about is her family. That should be off limits. Maybe you should go tell Rush, Hannity and Beck the same thing while you're at it.

There are lots of different ideas in the public square. Don't look now, but you're soaking in some of them right now.

"I think we should all mock Sarah Palin, mock her acheivements . . ."

OK; I'm down. Which one should we start with?

Running the town of Wasilla, AK from zero to $20 million into debt?
Lying about her opposition to Ted Stevens' Bridge to Nowhere?
Using her office to fire the head of the state troopers in retaliation for a family dispute?
Replying "All of them," when asked which books and magazines she read?
Proclaiming herself a "hockey mom" and "pitbull with lipstick" while receiving a GOP party-supported $150,000 wardrobe?
Quitting her only executive office experience mid-term?

        I mean, there's so many to choose from . . .

" . . . and in the end we might drive anyone with a different point of view out of the public square where ideas are discussed."

Right . . . why, that would sound almost like calling certain parts of the country "Un-American", saying your opponent has been "pallin' around with terrorists," or whipping up your supporters at a campaign rally to the point where they shout "KILL HIM!"

Sarah Palin mocks YOU. She is a hate-filled, egocentric, narcissist who threw her own daughter under the bus by parading her around onstage just to prove that the rumors which had been swirling around Alaska for MONTHS before you had even heard of her couldn't be true.

BTW, you might want to do a bit of research on the "prayer group" that Palin is a member of . . . Windwalkers and Mary Glazier. See, these folks and Palin believe that Palin is God's CHOSEN one who has been selected to lead our country into the "end times." She's nuts.

Oh, and Happy Holidays has been around for as long as the modern "traditional" Christmas celebration has been in this country [in the 1800s.] Christmas celebrations were banned in this country by CHRISTIANS in its earliest days.

You can say Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Joyeux Noel, Frohe Weihnachten, Feliz Navidad or whatever you want. Works for me.

Now Sarah Palin's book is going to outsell his before hers is even published.

What does that say about his book? About her book? About folks who buy these books? Please note I didn't say "read" - far more of these are purchased than actually read.

The "shipping" cost is higher than the cost of the book? Where's the truth in advertising? That's why these jokers usually say "shipping and handling" - it does not cost $5.95 to send one book USPS Media Mail.

Maybe in the case of Mrs. Palin's book is shipping and fondling.
