Wow. Once again, Fox News and the far right: woefully out of touch with the American people. Ironically, even the American people in Republican districts. Just keep turning up the crazy, it's working beautifully for you guys. Enjoy the wilderness!

so first, its all about "taking back the republican party" and that "its really happening" with the conservative party candidate, if he wins. but now that he lost, its a postponement until the next election? wouldnt that have been the same EXACT situation if they won the seat, too? idiots.

hell, even the good, old independent at 8pm called it.

I am happier hoffman lost than I am annoyed about any of the dems losing. Just because i like seeing FOX lose in any way shape or form. If FOX news looks defeated, we all win.

its awesome that hoffman lost because fox news backed him so relentlessly, but they didnt do much for mcdonnell and christie. those two were more of a back up plan just incase hoffman lost, which he did, so they just had to settle for the moderates of their party. god for bid there are any moderates in the republican party... gotta have the wingnuts, as usual.

Why would the leader of the GOP endorse a party that ostensibly is the major opponent of the GOP and has even announced that they will run against republicans in primaries in 2010. I dont get it.

Ah yes how they all predicted that Hoffman would win in a landslide! He was a conservatives conservative and he was going to beat the pants off his wimpy little liberal Democratic opponent! Yes this was going to be PROOF that the tide was turing in their favor!
But wait---Hoffman lost!! How could this be??? Could it be that ACORN members scared away the Republicans?? Did Obama cast a spell to force those in upstate New York to pull the wrong lever?
Hmm how to spin this?? Oh yes, it was actuallu a VICTORY for conservatives because now the media knows that----uh---that--uh-----Oh I know, that the GOP base is going to insist that the GOP bigwigs run hard-core Righties from now on! The American people will flock to such candidates! Except in upstate New York for some reason. But that will all change in 2010 and 2012 believe me!

Republicans---they just keep getting crazier and I am lovin' it!

Except those are all commentary shows. I don't ever recall Special Report, for instance, doing anything of the sort. Conservative commentary shows, at that. There was no misinformation there, just opinions, what was conveniently left out was other commentary shows giving the opinion the other way.

Speaking of which, a 3rd party candidate getting that much of the vote for a federal position simply hasn't been done in recent history. What is remarkable is that any 3rd party had any chance at all of beating the two-party system. That is what the bragging is about here, and both parties - Republicans and Democrats - should be very afraid of what energized grassroots supporters can do.

nobody is denying that, but they are supposed to be "fair and balanced" over there, right? yet, all those programs are cheerleading for a conservative candidate?

        Commentary is all FAUX does.

Actual facts are rare on that network.

But it's not even commentary. Commentary implies intellectual honesty, that you have considered a set of facts and have come to a conclusion based on those facts. What Ari has done is propaganda. He has taken the same set of facts and arrived at opposite conclusions, his conclusions were based on something outside of the facts, his conclusions were based on the party affiliation of the actors. Having people like Ari Fleischer "commenting" is a waste of the viewers time because if you're a thoughtful person you know going in that his "commentaries" will hew to the simple it's good for the Republicans and bad for the Democrats.

here is something more remarkable that........a third party presidential candidate beat the incumbent republican president in the electoral college vote, even though that third party candidate still got beat by the democratic presidential nominee.......

and who was this giant that was able to beat a mainstream political party candidate...

why Theodore Roosevelt. i find that far more impressive than doug hoffman's performance
