      Um... Mr. Steyn,

Exactly who said that the 'jihadist' is always the victim?

I have yet to hear that coming from anyone! Not any liberal, Arab leader, Jewish, Democrat, not even from the most ardent anti-war protester.

Except you! All I hear coming from you right-wing freaks are thoughts and sayings that are attributed to no one except the person spewing it out (that would be you) in the hopes of keeping your listening audience in the dark!

What does a little inaccuracy matter? They'll stand by it because they, "know we think it."

Your side has no standing to be complaining about people being false victims.

Rep Joe Wilson, who falsely smeared the President at a joint session of Congress speech, then later wouldn't apologize to Congress for his gross breach of protocol? He tried to claim victim status because he was being held to account for his behavior. That's not what a victim is.

Rush Limbaugh, entertainer, claimed that he was a victim. Was he? OF course not. He made racist comments, and those comments, and many other offensive ones, came back to haunt him. He was like a criminal who was caught and convicted and then who claims to be a victim of the criminal justice system when he doesn't like the sentence he received.

Like Sean Hannity, or Bill O'Reilly or any number of people who complain about Keith Olbermann going after what they say, like it's the person who points out their offensive speech that's the problem, rather than the person who makes the offensive speech in the first place, who's the bad guy. They aren't victims of anyone. They're the offenders - our nation is the victim, our civil discourse is the victim - these people who say these offensive things are the perpetrators!
