No shortage of hate filled repugs to fill in for the Bloviator. No chance of them shutting their pie hold until we get all the facts.

      "suspicious muslim activity"

Isn't that dog-whistle for "anyone that looks like a muslim and is doing ANYTHING". Oh, and I believe "report" means "take matters in your own hands and go ahead and commit a hate crime".

Ah yes wingnuts, bask in it. Your xenophobia and bigotry is about to have a resurgence.

But oh, how these rightwing s-b's howl, "lone wolf kook," when the shooter has ties to the NRA, militias, white supremacist/survivalist groups, or a car full of rightwing xenophobia.

This is from an ex-wingnut fundamentalist who's had the scales fall from his eyes.

I was thinking the same thing. Look at the story of the flying imams. It turns out that the "suspicious behavior" reported was easily explained or upon further investigation completely false. Just a case of bourgeois paranoia fueled by bigotry.

This is what Steyn is lamenting here. Just pathetic.

I guess reporting "suspicious" ex-employee with a grudge activity would land a person in the same sensitivity training, right? Because there was a similar incident today in Orlando where a guy named Jason Rodriguez went in an office building and opened fire, leaving at least eight victims and two dead.

So, are we going to blame Hispanics and Catholics for this act of terrorism? Or, are we going to blame the person who did the shooting and whatever emotional and/or psychological issues that he was having, or are we going to blame their name/religion?

With a Hispanic name, let's see if they try to make him out as a 'gang banger', since we know only Blacks and Hispanics are in gangs, right?

What exactly constitutes suspicious "Muslim" activity? Is it the praying? Is it the fasting during a certain period during the year? Basically they're saying if your name is Hasan, Rashad, Amir, or any other arabic sounding name, then you should be suspected of suspicious behavior. It's the promotion of bigoted ideas like this that keeps outdated organizations like the KKK and neo-nazis alive today.

No evidence of any "Muslim" motivation is there? Doesn't mean the wingnuts can't make one up

These people are shameless and rotten as hell. One has to wonder, what are they teaching their children? Issue after issue, all they do is display their ignorance, stupidity and hate and somehow manage to keep a job.
What ever happened to intelligence, integrity and responsibility? These people/broadcasters are devious and those who follow them are dangerous. America is in big trouble..

To me, this is very similar to Columbine and Virginia tech - none of which were said to be the result of too much racial or ethnic sensitivity but just ignorance of warning signs and inability for the perpetrators or receive the mental healthcare or even attention that they were likely seeking far earlier than the catastrophic events that ensued.

All of these seem to be the result of harassment and inability to assimilate into a culture that is so based on stereotyped norms and intolerance of those that are different. To me, I would say the conclusion to this can likely be the exact opposite of what Steyn is preaching. There is too much intolerance and prejudice and insensitivity to those that are perceived as different and a clear ability for social institutions to intervene and help someone with pervasive mental instability even while they scream out for such help.
