      It's going to be even worse than the guy in the foxhole wanting to kill you Brian.

      When we eventually get rid of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, it's a possibility that you'll be there with a soldier who may try to turn you gay.

      Kilmeade is an expert! Why won't anybody listen to him?

      Yeah, Brian....like you are ever going to be in any foxhole other than the one you are in now!

      Kilmeade should be ashamed of himself.

      Not to mention, this would be a political nightmare for some and an international disgrace for the country as a whole. I wouldn't condone this policy even if it turns out that this was the result of Islamic fundamentalist sponsoring terrorism which I am pretty sure it is not. This is because much of the world would see us fighting against 2 countries of the Muslim world for a decade now and in very poor relations with a few others. Iraq remains a national disaster of which we cannot seem to escape. The rest were at one point appropriate and globally supported but no more. The world does not approve of a second decade spent fighting in afghanistan or pakistan. I think the US took the proper stance against Iran and I think its fair that we don;t really consider Hamas and Hizbollah as legitimate state institutions until it becomes clear that they do not sponsor terrorism in any way but with all the above, it starts to form a trend. We generally are forced or purposely and without provacation take a harsh stand against the Islamic world. And while one may see them all as having good intentions to start, many others across the world can see it as a more widespread attack on the religion rather than individual countries. Such a stance as our government advocating for screenings for only Muslim officers would completely legitimize such claims in the hearts and minds of most out there. I would start to grow skeptical of exactly what the big picture is here as after being lied into going into a senseless and baseless war tends to lead to greater future skepticism.

      Damn I hope she made a better argument than 'slippery slope'. "Special debriefings for Muslims" goes against the basic ideas of freedom of religion and equality, slippery slope is low on the list of problems with that idea.

      Ironically, Kilmeade and Fox in general would be very quick to make claims that the secular left are anti-religion, yet they have no problem suggesting discrimination based on religion.

      Are we going to be subjected to this buffoon, Kilmeade, claiming that he's now a "reliable source"?

      Christ, I hope not.

      From what I've heard, and I admit I do not have the whole story, it seems as though Major Hasan had some mental difficulties, partly caused or exacerbated by his upcoming deployment. It does not seem right now to be some nefarious hidden secret muslim agenda, however much the right wishes that were the case.

      Why isn't the United States Military "blasting" FoxNews' for letting Brian and Gretchen proclaim such "nasty discrimination" for the world to see about our American Muslim Soldiers? FoxNews "owes" an "apology" to our United States Military - period. Just shameful, shameful, shameful.

      The only reason kilmead would be in a foxhole would be because he's hiding as cowards often do. He's tough when given a soapbox, but if challenged to actually enlist and fight, he would wet his pants and join all the other "patriotic" rethug chicken hawk zealots.

      I wrote this in another thread but;

      It's too bad that some people hold such little value for constitutional rights that they are ready to throw them out the window the moment something bad happens. I know, it takes a little bit of character to think rationally and not turn into a frightened animal when something horrible happens. But if the constitution can't survive something like 9/11, much less something like this, It won't last long.

      As Ben Franklin said; "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security." You see, our founding fathers also had much to be afraid of, but somehow managed to give us the rights we have now. Let's prove ourselves worthy of those rights by not discriminating against all muslims because of what one muslim did.
