      Why do right wing talkers like Limbaugh conveniently leave out that Barack Obama specifically repudiated the more radical beliefs of Jeremiah Wright?

        Guess you have a difference of opinion on repudiation, he never once took wright to task at church this was salvation after it became a political issue. remember he said he 'never heard" wright ever spew his racist vows form the pulpit

                I said he deserves a smack down. I didn't say I was going to smack him down, verbally or physically. I also never said someone should go out and hit him.

                The only threat here is his threat to the national IQ.

                    Thumbs up for the witty response.
                    A personal threat is a statement, or gesture, indicating an intention or willingness to do harm to another. Observing that one might deserve such harm doesn't actually constitute a threat, as right wingers never tire of pointing out, when one of them acts out statements they've heard from Coulter, etc.

                    I think what he meant was "virtual smackdown," a rhetorical smackdown, everyone here is in cyberspace so threats are actually fuel for a erudite response of some sort, a dual of wit and information, that's what makes this forum fun. otherwise we would be blasting our screens with heavy blunt objects.
