Which wingnuts? The 12 percent on the left? Or the 12 percent on the right? Maybe we could get rid of both and THEN it would be a much better country?

I'm with you, Jollymon. I'm SOOOOO sick of the wingnuts on BOTH sides of the fence. They see only their side of any issue. No gray areas to be found with them.

El-Rushbo should focus on 2020 when all those schoolchildren the evil, socialist, communist, marxist, Kenya-born liberals are indoctrinating turn voting age. THAT is when those conservatives will really be out of power.

Maybe conservatives should stop indoctrinating old teabaggers through Fox news and focus on the youth. It could be a new reality TV show. "Indoctrination Wars." Liberals and Conservatives battle for the minds of children in this two-hour live battle of the ideologies. Reps from the left and right fight in competitions on a desert island to see who gets to speak for an hour to a class of third-graders each week. Oh the ratings that would get!

I laugh every time I hear this, because I cry as well. No one can ever call me unpatriotic, I sleep with a copy of the Constitution of the United States of America next to my bed. I want America to succeed, but in order to do that, we need to undo all the damage the conservative party platform did to us from 2001-2009. So good-bye, Conservative America! Hello Real America!

The only thing I have on the walls of my living room is a 'pseudo-parchment' copy of the Constitution (and Bill of Rights)

Of course, I have a copy of a poster featuring the first ten Doctor Whos on my bedroom wall....

lol, of course, but I was referring to the statement that this blowhard and others like him use accusing Liberals of not knowing what's in the Consitiution.

Of course, John Boner of OH couldn't even get the Preamble right, citing the Declaration of Independence when he said it was the Constitution, so I guess they don't set the bar very high, do they?

Most of the people who call themselves "Republicans" are Republicans in name only. To be a true Republican, they must be in the top 1% of the population, which controls 90% of the wealth. Those who think of themselves as Republican are in the class of 99% of the population that wishes they could control the remaining 10% of the wealth, but never will. They blindly follow leaders in the top 1% like Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and Hannity who tell them how to think and basically how to live their lives. They wallow in misery and their own self pity believing that the big bad Liberals are out to get them, when in fact it is Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and Hannity that is out for their destruction.

Sara Robinson cut to the heart of this syndrome here..

"The core problem is that authoritarian logic defines "liberty" in the context of a natural, God-given hierarchy. Freedom is -- by definition -- a direct function of social status. The higher your status, the more liberty you have to force lesser beings to do your will -- including the power to punish them for crossing you, and freedom from the fear that they can or will get back at you in return. (Whenever you hear conservatives talking about "freedom" and"liberty," remember this definition -- it's the codebreaker that allows you to hear the subtext of what they're really saying to each other.) This kind of "freedom" is, in the end, the only kind of liberty that really matters. Since any loss of status automatically dooms them to live under someone else's thumb, authoritarians will resist giving up power or control (which they see as their "rights") by any means necessary. Live free or die."

I think I finally figured out why folks like Limbaugh, Beck, Ailes, etc., are saying the things they are. And going so over the top.

They are scared. Very, very scared. Obama scares them like nobody ever has. Why? Because he's showing the world just how backwards and ineffective conservatives are.

The louder Limbaugh and Beck and Ailes get, the more confident I am that the current administration is doing the right thing, and putting our country back on track.

I hope that for once you are dead-on accurate, Rush. Because the country as we know it one where you can sign a $400 million contract to spew sewage into American minds five days a week. And it is disgusting.

Fear baiting and stirring the pot. All it boils down to is media gives ---- the ability to be a member of the big fat blow-hard, windy,b.s. society for spreading crap which could lead to blood shed.
causing good but vunerable people to listen to the big puff of wind, and half way believing what is said, scared not to, just because they have been life long republicians.
There are manure spreaders, and then there are manure spreaders. No logic, no middle of the road sanity. Just ugliness, more and more ugliness. Fear baiting other good people who otherwise are sensiable people.
Thank u, I finially got that off my chest.

Indeed, you can kiss this country as you've known it -- a country dominated by white males holding the bulk of the positions of power and influence -- goodbye. But you don't have to wait until 2010, Rush. You can do that RIGHT NOW, because that country ALREADY has ceased to exist.

Welcome to the new, multiracial, muiltiethnic, multicultural and gender-equal America, Rush. Or -- as GOP National Chairman Michael Steele admitted in a TV interview about white Republicans' feelings toward himself -- are you too afraid to come out of your monocrhromatic shell?

By the way, you can watch Steele's interview here:
