Beckel calls Hannity out for Bachmann rally, socialized medicine claims

      Nice. Beckel and O'Brien pretty much put the lie to everything Hannity and his designated bimbo had to say.

      2010 will be decided on jobs, not health care - no matter what the senate does with their bill. And the jobs will come, so Hannity will be eating crow.

      I don't imagine the bag-o-wind likes where he is sitting right about now...

        Socialized medicine does not work?

        Countries with some form of socialized medicine:

        Australia - only 8.8 percent of GDP

        Canada - 85 percent of Canadians are satisfied or VERY SATISFIED with their health care

        Cuba - mortality rate has decreased and life expectancy went up almost every year since implemented

        Finland - 88 percent satisfaction, one of the highest in the world

        Israel - costs dont even compare to US and has 28th best healthcare (10 better than US)

        United Kingdom - 8.4 percent of GDP

          And hannity, not a single one of the above countries has said that their system isn't working and none of them are actively trying to change back to more of an american-like model.

        Why do you all hate insurance companies like we are making big profits?

        In NY Health insurance companies:
        1). Are the second biggest source of tax revenue in the state
        2). Were this year subject to an addtional $40 surcharge tax per insured subscriber (which basically amounted to a Raid on claim reserve funds)

        The company i work to break even this year we took no increase this year our CEO took a 25% pay cut all to keep everyone on board and not lay people off and to pay for lazy state workers!

        Live in this state and see how big fat over spending Government works!

        Eventually there will not be enough money to pay for these big governments.

      Hannity repeats the same garbage on his rado show and then carries over to the TV show.

      When has Seannie been right. He predicated a win in 2006, same for 2008..he had the Stop the Hillary Express but changed track to the Obama Express predicting a derailment. He predicted this bill would never get out of the House, oops, wrong again.

      Between SissyBoy, KKKarl Rove, Limbaugh and Dickie the Toeman, they are a hitting about 2% and remember, they make 20-25 predictions a day.

      They must really feel alone at night knowing they are always wrong. But they count their money and all is well.

      I really wish Beckel would have slapped that smirk off Hannity's face. His accusations, that Democrats bribed people to get the bill passed, were entirely uncalled for, especially when he has absolutely no knowledge regarding Congressional process. He also seems to forget about how Haliburton stole tons of money from taxpayers, along with Blackwater.

      I also love how he claims Beckel is demonizing business, when he gets on the air every night and demonizes Congress. His attacks on individuals, especially our elected representatives, who try to make this country better are absolutely ridiculous. The funny thing is that he has no problem calling liars, the Democrats who tell the truth, but when Bachmann gets on the air and makes a bold-faced lie, he applauds it. Talk about a double standard.

        I guess Hannity didn't remember the "Congressional process" when John Boehner was handing out checks from the tobacco lobby on the floor of the House, in direct violation of its rules. That's standard GOP procedure.

      How can Hannity believe that he is being fair and balanced? Apparently what is believed to be normal at Fox news is considered abnormal anywhere else.

      It's good to see somebody on Hannity's show who doesn't put up with his crap. Hannity's show would be fair and balanced if he actually listened to what these people were saying. He didn't this time acknowledge that there was any truth in what Bob Beckel chided him for. Too bad.

        I always like Beckel from his days on Crossfire and he would sub for Kinsley. When I flip the channels and he's on Fox, that's the only time I watch. I know at the very least, a counter talking point at least would be made.

      good lord, hannity is a straight up joke... just lie after lie. go bob beckel and pat o'brien (isnt he from entertainment tonight?)!

      also, i loved the praising of pelosi by beckel, too... he pointed out the obvious to hannity about his incessant attacks on her.

      IMO, beckel is the only real guest that hannity brings on who challenges that coward. sometimes geraldo and juan will, but its rare.

      selfish zealot rethugs like hannity and that fried bleach blond witch have one talking point against "socialized" medicine. A statistic re; a breast cancer drug from a report a decade old. They ignore the recent WHO report, the statements by the head of health from the UK and Canada, and all statistics that put the US overall health system and it's mortality way down the list from other industrialized nations. The bottom line is these zealots are afraid that the Democratic party will ride the wave of success like they did after social security and medicare. rethugs are anti american, anti citizen and just lying, cowardly and greedy opportunists

        What they are citing are polls where the questions are very cleverly asked to make the public option sound nefarious and are funded by, guess who, the insurance industry. It is a typical tactic. The most legitimate polls where the public option is explained well, actually show somewhere in the 74% range. This is akin to the "polls" of scientists" that show that many do not believe in global warming. Wheras, when you show the global temperatures to statisticians without telling them what they're looking at (thereby blinding them and improving the statistical power by removing a confound) they conclude that the temperature change is statistically significant. That means that the possibility of this being a random event is zero or very close to it (since the number zero is basically unheard of in the real world anyway).
