And genius, the opinions of America has obviously changed since the early 90s. I know that is hard to imagine but percent of GDP for healthcare has sky rocketed since then. The profits of private industry has gone up 400 percent. Our own healthcare coverage in the US has started to slip as we are now in the late 30s in the world based mainly on the fact that a huge chunk of our nation is now uninsured (FAR MORE ARE UNINSURED NOW THAN IN THE 90S.)
We have also seen our average life expectancy drop for the first time since the dawn of modern medicine. We have seen the number of actual doctors in this country who back this plan shoot through the roof from far less than a majority to the current 73 percent of all American doctors. Therefore, this idea is no longer a far left or fringe ideaa - the center wholeheartedly supports reform. Almost all of america favors reform and most want a public option.
