I'm not surprised at the amount of ignorance Rush has about the World Wildlife Fund, given his views on abortion and humans causing climate destruction.

Be very afraid, Rush. We liberals breed - and every college degree represents yet another human being who won't be listening to your line of cr@p.

I think if children were considered a black market delicacy in parts of the world Limbaugh would travel there and have several...broiled, with a nice Chianti.

BTW, recognize any Dominican kids in that commercial, Rush...?

Another air ball for Rush and his concrete thinking. Being pro-choice, and aware of overpopulation, translates to the dim-witted black & white thinker as "No Children!".

Is he equally surprised that, given their stated views on family values and morals, the GOP has chosen as their leader a childless, divorced, lying, drug-addicted pedophile?

Or is he just angry that every time he tries to catch 40 winks on a Florida beach, those Greenpeace hippies and manatee protectors keep trying to roll him back into the water ?

        Shut yer blowhole, Rushbo.

There are five times more Polar Bears today than the 1950s. Their population is at an all time high. While they are the poster child of the global warming movement they are not threatened.

The scientific name for the polar bear is Ursusus Maritimus. Sea Bear. Polar Bears can swim over 100 miles.

Polar Bears have survived three complete meltings of the Arctic Sea ice.

This is a classic example of alarmism at its finest and using wildlife to push political views.

There are more Polar Bears now, but not because the environment is more welcoming to them, dum-dum. It's because there's been less hunting of them for three decades than there was in the previous 3 decades.

Polar Bears live for a long time, and so it will take a while for the destruction of much of their habitat to decrease their numbers. But already there are signs of that coming.

Long-term studies already show that they are losing weight and bearing fewer cubs. In the past 15 years, there's 25% fewer polar bears in the area around Hudson Bay.

And they aren't a poster child, but they will be seriously adversely affected by the loss of thick arctic sea ice and the accompanying environmental effects.

How long will it take you to learn that your lies and nonsense won't go unchallenged here?

And don't even come talk to us about Dr Taylor or the polar bears on the iceberg photo - neither one is evidence that any reputable scientist would use to talk about GCC.

The majority of polar bear populations are growing in size. There are approximately 24 bear populations, I believe 21 are growing and 4 are shrinking.

Canada issued 800 polar bear hunting permits this year, and is indicative they do not think Polar Bears are endangered.

The Polar Bears primary food is seals. The seal populations are thriving, and thus the bears are prospering.

It really doesnt matter what the reason the polar bear populations are growing, but they are none the less.

To say there are more bears but they are thinner and having fewer cubs, is ridiculous. The population today is the largest ever recorded, this can only be because environmental conditions (including less hunting and habitat improvements) are now better than past years. How can they possibly be having fewer cubs when the population is larger, which you agreed with in your post?

And besides, Polar Bears lived through at least three total meltings of the Arctic in the past, so they can adapt to changing climate conditions even if the AGW theory was true, which it is not.

Most people are simply shocked to hear the polar bear populations are much larger than past decades, this is because the information that is being fed to them is so blatently false.

Yes, it is surmised that the arctic ice will melt completely and the bears will suffer. The bears will simply move to land like many of them do in Summer anyway.

I do agree that the bear populations will suffer if something happens to the seal population, but for now, this is not now an area of concern.

So if there is anyone spreading false information about AGW, it is those who say the bears are disappearing. If anything, their population is exploding.

Here is what Dr Taylor recently testified about the Polar Bears.
          Glad you recommended him.

"Of the 13 populations of polar bears in Canada, 11 are stable or increasing in number. They are not going extinct, or even appear to be affected at present," Taylor said, noting that Canada is home to two-thirds of the world's polar bears.

He added: "It is just silly to predict the demise of polar bears in 25 years based on media-assisted hysteria."
In September, Taylor further debunked the latest report hyping fears of future polar bear extinctions.

"I think it's naive and presumptuous," Taylor said, referring to a recent report by the U.S. government warning that computer models predict a dire future for the bears due to projected ice loss....

Taylor also debunked the notion that less sea ice means less polar bears by pointing out that southern regions of the bears' home with low levels of ice are seeing booming bear populations. He noted that in the warmer southern Canadian region of the Davis Strait with lower levels of ice, a new survey will reveal that bear populations have grown from an estimated 850 bears to an estimated 3000 bears. And, despite the lower levels of ice, some of the bears measured in this region are among the biggest ever on record.

"Davis Strait is crawling with polar bears. It's not safe to camp there. They're fat. The mothers have cubs. The cubs are in good shape," he said, according to a September 14, 2007 article.

He added: "That's not theory. That's not based on a model. That's observation of reality."
