Could we get some clarification on this one please, Media Matters?

I mean, are you suggesting that Beck is "racist" or something for the "movin' on up" line?

Yeah, I think I missed it as well. Unless it's because the departure was known well in advance...

I believe the point is that Beck is committed to putting as much pressure as possible on White House officials. Therefor, he is "movin on up" the list of supposed socialists that he can defame and slander.

Oh, good for him, then. And good for POLITICAL DIALOGUE.

You consider vicious smears to be POLITICAL DIALOGUE?

No, I consider accurate information to be good for political dialogue. If telling the TRUTH about someone happens to make them look bad (officials citing the mass murderer Mao as a favorite political thinker)then so be it.

Beck is a racist. No need to suggest it. He admits that he has no "black" friends because he is uncomfortable around them. Says he's afraid he'll say something "offensive" to them.

When did he say that? Was he being serious? That matters, I think.

He was being deadly serious, and, you're right... it does matter.

Beck is simply an unapologetic racist.

OK, I looked up the "no black friends" comment. So he's scared to offend a black person because of political correctness? So what? That doesn't make him racist.

Dude, is it possible for someone to have predominantly conservative ideals without being labeled a racist?

I'm certain that today's political climate is NOT what the founders intended---one side of "good" progressives, and the other side is simply "evil racists."

Yes, that's right it's LIBERALS who insist everything is black and white and everything outside of their specified margins is evil. Have fun in Bizarro World.

Beck is getting the news of Ms. Dunn's departure now to make an announcement of some kind just so he can sing 'moving on up' is nothing more than Beck trying to ruffle feathers. Advertisers are "NOT" coming back, and Beck is just trying to hold on to his Show by ANY means necessary.

Why was Dunn let go or why is she leaving? Tell me its not that Mao quote beck was obsessed with - that would be utterly ridiculous.

She never said she was staying, in fact, she announced it when she accepted the interim position in April. She has her own business to run.

His Mao quote was his insinuating she was a communist. Her taking a lucrative position would be against Mao's socialist, anti capitalist, views.Just Beck being his usual assinine self.

I said it before. These guys will celebrate anything that makes them feel like they have won. They will celebrate kicking Obama out of the White House in January 2017 and claim he had plans to stay on longer.

The celebration will be in January 2013. Remember Jimmy Carter? Well you're not the only one, but he was a one term president that got a whopping 49 electoral votes to the Great Ronald Reagan's 489. Obumbles will be lucky to get that many.

As with most in the political arena that leave, the path is probably upward into a great paying lobbyist position somewhere, ala Foley (Tom, not Mark), Daschle, and other notables from both sides of the spectrum. (&/or a fantastic book deal.)

Please explain to me why anyone with any knowledge of Mao Tse Tung would ever, ever say "the two people that I turn to most"? That is akin to saying Hitler is one of "the two people that I turn to most". Would someone who even remotely admired anything that Hitler espoused, (and he was a vegan, so I guess he had what some consider, an admirable trait) be in any government position, much less an an advisor to the President of the US? Why should the name Mao ever be brought up by an educated, civilized person, from any party or walk of life, for that matter? And why, to anyone, would this be difficult to understand? Mao Tse Tung and being an American just don't go together, ever.
