Wow, with all the weeping hysterics, he must be going for Beck's job before the show's even over.

Still waiting for the syllogism, Lou. Not only was there no syllogism there was no logic. Talk about bait and switch.

Dobbs still doesnt realize - he doesnt just report about immigration. he harps over it, he preaches, he demonizes immigrants and he does this day after day after week after month after year. It was not really what he said exactly that was so terrible one day but that he launched these smaller scale attacks every single day like he was trying to fix a problem by fear-mongering. You just mention it once every two weeks or so and it is significantly less of a problem but Dobbs had to get his two cents in with his immigrant bashing like multiple times a show. It was an obsession with him - he resigned over it and he is still using his last moments on the air to talk about it - one second, he says he was just doing this and rationalizes his stance and then, five minutes later he is back to railing on immigrants. You cant say you arent being racist and then, 10 mins later there you are racist again Dobbs. People arent that dumb - he would apologize and then, the next show he would make the same inflammatory comment. So goodbye Dobbs and Good riddance

yes Ive been saying that all day. The right has constantly confused morality with political correctness. One is a basic degree of human decency and the other is just manipulation of language to give off an impression that you are being sensitive. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Apparrently not to the right but they are obviously not the same thing. One is a character trait and the other is just some slight manipulation to meet the needs of the immediate situation. It tells me that perhaps these pundits morality is really just appearing somewhat sensitive wen possible by altering their language accordingly. That they have no real empathy or sympathy or ability to take on a different perspective. iTS RIDICULOUS how many times the two have been used interchangeably today.

So now we know why he went down. Or at least one of the reasons. Why is trying to go down in glorious flames. That's the worst thing about people like this. They have an ego so big they just have to have the last word. No one in the military is trying to be PC, just ask gay soldiers. Oh I forgot they could be fired for answering questions about that. The worst type of madman is a shrink. When they snap you never quite see it coming. I don't actually think all the people who are talking about having been very concerned about his views now thought about it at the time. That Power Point presentation which is being sold as a red flag actually suggest he was concerned about others. The guy went crazy. When the whole thing comes to light he will look more silly because even the Extremists won't want to claim him.

Wonder if this guy, Lou Dobbs, or FoxNews' Host i.e. Gretchen Carlson will apologize for spreading what Rep. Pete Hoekstra, (R-MI) jumped the gun on by "spreading" that the shooting at Ft. Hood was some kind of Terrorist Attack by a Muslim? ALL of these people should have "waited" until the "facts" came out by the investigating Authorities, and "NOT" rush to the "smear" Campaign for Political Gain.

Glad CNN got rid of this kind of "hate" from Lou Dobbs during our Country's two Wars, high unemployment, financial mess, etc. etc. LOL.

In other words, Mr. Lord, Talk Radio is the replacement for drunken barroom rants, locker room philosophizing, and backyard rumor mongering? Yes, all of the most bigoted, ignorant people I grew up with were big, BIG Talk Radio fans. My favorite radio station plays music and commercials, it has NO DJ's. I really like that station.

I could be wrong, and I freely admit that up front, but isn't it true that most of the illegal immigrants in this country came here legally? They're on visas of one sort or another, and overstay them? But, Lou Dobbs insists it's because we have lax border security, which I don't think really accounts for most of the problem.

I can remember a time when talk shows were talk shows, not political platforms for spewing hate and giving justification to lies and narrowmindedness. There WERE conservative ones back then to whom I listened, and whom I respected, even when I disagreed with them. They spoke rationally, didn't get emotional, didn't rant, smear or lie, etc. The difference today is that now, "anything goes." The talk shows seek ratings like any other show does, and they've found that catering to the lowest common denominator wins ratings.

The difference is that, back then, talk shows involved genuine, calm and courteous discourse. None of that is happening on the right-wing. They do rabble-rousing. They try to validate smears that have long ago been totally debunked, like Obama's nationality, or that he is a Muslim. Because of these shows, many Americans still believe that yippledung.

As for liberals "hating" anyone whose views differ, I have a hot flash for "pointofview." He is accusing the liberals of precisely what the Bush administration did to us for 8 long, dreary years. He actively tried to shut down opposing opinions, even barring highly respected journalists from his press conferences. His attitude was "you're either with me or with the terrorists," and he acted accordingly. Dems DO respect people with differing opinions; I'll remind pointofview that it was the Republicans who shouted down town halls. It is Republicans who get on TV and blather over the voices of those who disagree with them. Hannity, on Fox, tried to filibuster over anything Michael Moore had to say. Instead, he got "owned" for showing fake videos - again. Someone ought to tell people on the right that the loudest voice is NOT always the one with valid viewpoints, and that the way to win your point of view is with discourse, not cheats and lies.

I've noticed this phenomenon a lot lately. You should be on the lookout for it, too. They've claimed that Obama has tried to strip us of our Constitutional rights - exactly what Bush DID to us. And how did Obama do this? They don't say. Just making the accusation is enough - for them.

So try this. Make a list of all the godawful things that Bush and the GOP did to us since the year 2000. Then look for people online who are saying OBAMA does, or has done, or plans to do, those things. I think you'll be surprised at how much you find, once you begin looking.

It's a cheap trick, of course, and once you latch onto them doing it, examples will leap out at you. I think we should consolidate our observations in one place. Maybe somebody can come up with a suggestion of an appropriate site. Be sure to quote exactly what they say, and mention the circumstances and the context in which the comments were made. This cheat is harder to expose, because individual right-wingers are doing it. But we did have SOME practice with it when Limbaugh launched "Operation Chaos," and suddenly lots of Repubs were claiming to be Dems, and trashing Dem policies - ANYTHING, rather than let Obama become our president. The goal was destruction for its own sake, and there are still ripples of it going on even now.

When someone says Obama is stripping us of our Constitutional rights, demand to hear the chapter and verse about it. You probably won't get it. Anything Repubs say, politicians or just constituents, which tries to take an offense Bush committed on us and slap it on Obama. Let's dig out as many as we can, because there are lots of them floating around.

talk radio is the only place for a conversation???? are you kidding me??? talk radio is 98.99999 percent conservative, with conservative hosts, conservative callers, and conservative guests. how is that a real conversation? lou dobbs is angry because people are calling him out on his OWN words. dobbs is the one who aligned himself with the birthers and the deathers. dobbs has (had) a show in which the majority consists of is his opinion, which is rarely challenged. he has lied about this president, and has shown hostility toward him. does he think no one has a right to disagree with him? dobbs has a problem with people challenging him, but not a problem with racists carrying signs of obama as a witch doctor, and equating health reform and obama to hitler and stalin.
