I guess he doesn't know the tax code. If you are honest you will never go to jail. IRS, has codes and the same codes must be followed for the mandate(tax) which will be added on to you Income Tax return....I can't believe people really fall for this stuff.

How about say it is for tax evasion Becky? Single-payer would dismiss all this ignorant talk if Congress and the president shot for that first. I see why Mesa and Kunsinch voted No. Anyway it is called tax evasion Becky.

There is no option for jail time for failing to purchase healthcare insurance.

      It's a simple fact, Glenn.

The jail time comes in when one fails to pay taxes owed. If you don't pay taxes on income earned, or on stock sold, or on an early IRA distribution, or on the penalty one could be assessed for failing to purchase insurance, then you could be imprisoned for the failure to pay taxes owed. But you wouldn't be getting jailed for the reason you owed the taxes - it's the failure to pay the taxes that makes this a offense that one can be jailed for.

Speaking of health bills, anyone wonder why the anti-abortion party covers abortions under their health plan?

      hee hee hee...

For a small number of people who might refuse to pay the fee, it is important to remember that, in the majority of cases, the IRS which will enforce the insurance requirement uses the CIVIL process to settle delinquent penalties and "taxes"

Of course with the IRS you're guilty until proven innocent. What could possibly be wrong with that?? It doesn't use the exact wording that Beck used so it cannot possibly be true....right?

The irony here is the person jailed for not having a health plan will receive better medical care in prison than they would outside “the joint” under PelosiCare.

The joke in Canada is “did you hear Harry went to jail for robbing a bank?”.....“He needed a new hip”.
