no, and he's never, ever used 9-11 for props either. That's why it's called the 9-12 project, for the day after...

Yes, Beck used 9/11 as a prop but for financial gain, not political. The Free Market justifies all things and in Its name we give thanks. Amen.

Handicap? As a person with a disability I am offended, but not surprised, that you would use such a derogatory term to describe people with disabilities.

Is the term "handicap" offensive now? Genuine question; I didn't know. It carries a very similar denotation to "disabled." Again, sorry, this is a genuine question.

      You scumbag.

You've been using soldiers as pawns in your anti-everything stance for years.

You cheered for these wars, with no objectives and no exit strategy.

I'd rather be used as a prop than cannon fodder.

So, when the Bush Administration was screening service members and their families to see who would be allowed to be around the President, that was okay? And when Bush flew onto a carrier in a fight plane in a military issue fighter pilots coveralls, that was okay. And when the President's office supplied the banner that hung behind him, that was okay, too. The fact is, most soldiers are thrilled to see the President, even when they don't agree with him. Did you hear the squeals from the crowd at the Ft. Hood service when the President was announced? (Frankly, I was a bit shocked, it seemed a little too much like a political rally reception than one at a funeral.)

Every politician uses people as props. In fact most politicians will use anything as a prop. Does anybody remember Bush's "mission accomplished" sign combined with that flight suit he was wearing on the deck of an aircraft carrier with hundreds of soldiers surrounding him? But I guess Mr. Beck just thinks if use soldiers as props you should set up a great stage and start with a overly dramatic entrance. And being in costume helps too!

      Jackass....

So, Glenn, I think you are talking a bit of truth here. Under most circumstances, people would refer to the things they talk about as news or at least something people would find interesting. If what you are doing is complaining that Pres. Obama is using the troops as props, have you ever done anything like that? If you have then you are a hypocrite--or should I have said since you have, you are a hypocrite. If what you're saying is true then we would have to call the television networks for Obama's speeches also "props." But why stop there?

Why not just say everything that Obama does when he is before cameras and on television involves the props that consists of everything in view.

Every day there is a question in my mind of whether Limbaugh or Beck says the most insane, incoherent, off the wall garbage. Often it's hard to tell.

Funny. When Glenn Beck poured "gasoline" on that guy, when Beck gave "Pelosi" poisoned wine...

..those people were treated as props.

When Griff Jenkins stood in front of the tea-bagger crowd and had the producer behind the camera rile the crowd into a frenzy?

      PROPS.

It's by no means only politicians that do this, Glenn.

See when the right attacks Obama for doing the right things by thinking before sending troops into war, they bash the left for their protest against a war that was not needed.

Try finding a picture of Bush where he WASN'T using the troops as props ...

Ever notice that he stands in front of them, facing the cameras? Not speaking TO them ...

Maybe Beck should call out Sen. Coburn as well for holding up a bill that would provide us vets with funding comprehensive health and mental care simply because, "it isn't paid for, and the American people wouldn't like that," after he voted for several armed forces appropriations bills that weren't allocated funds. Maybe he should call out Sen. McCain for opposing an increase in G.I. Bill benefits earlier this year because he felt that it should only be spent on vets who were in the service for longer. But, I wouldn't expect objective analysis like that from you, Glenn. Maybe if you cry a little more, those things will be taken up by more politicians.

If everyone would LISTEN to Beck instead of simply bashing him, maybe people would start understanding what he's saying. First off, Beck never said Obama was the only president to use people as props. He also said he was upset with ALL politicians for doing this. I can't seem to understand the liberal point of view and why you all must attack a person who doesn't have the same point of view. And if you're going to attack him, have something to say of importance, please. Calling him a scumbag and a jackass, what does that do? That's not criticizing, that's just being ignorant and uneducated. And also, in response to Jesseb37, I'm sorry for your disability, but please. If you'd like to be this sensitive, don't park in the handicap parking spaces, because that's too derogatory for you. I mean, really? You should listen to Glenn when he talks about how overly politically correct America has become. This oversensitivity is out of control and personally, the most annoying thing out in America right now. Everyone on this forum needs to take a good look at themselves and really try to figure what it is that makes you so cruel and ready to attack, because there's obviously an issue there that needs to be addressed. Please, all of you, get some facts, and stop bashing the right wing for speaking the truth.
