Sorry, but the only folks I see systematically attempting to "destroy" our society are the people on Fox and hate talk radio.

Really? How so? How is President Obama attempting to destroy this society? Even if we accept the right wings narrow idea about what American society is in what way has Obama harmed or attempted to harm that?

He's talking about the destruction of his ideology, not the destruction of our society. He and his ilk are scared to death that the economy may be turning around under Obama and health care may finally be reformed under Obama. If so, his worldview is toast and he knows it.

I don't think Obama is trying to destroy his ideology. Despite what the right claim he is not some anti-business, far left radical. Levin and his ilk will likely thrive under Obama. By all appearances the insurance industry and Wall Street certainly will.

Personally, I don't disagree at all. I see Obama as a moderate, an ideal leader for the duopoly. My point was made with a momentary acceptance of Levin's and others' political end of days hyperbole.

The only problem with being a moderate and trying to avoid enemies is that very few moderates have resulted in the drastic changes that obama promised in his campaign. How can we make major changes in this country if one is seeking bipartisanship? The reason these idiots classify Obama as a radical is not at all based on the reality of his presidency. They do this because of his speeches during his campaign in which he was far more liberally-minded it seems. They just havent woken up to the reality that obama the candidate and obama the president are not the same person at all or they were so used to the obama bashing by using him as the radical view that they just allowed themselves to continue to say it regardless of the reality.

Levin: President Obama "has aggressively undertaken to destroy this society like no president in my lifetime"

      Hey, Levin's right.

What with Obama ignoring more than fifty separate warnings of a major terrorist attack on US soil, reading fiction to schoolkids on the day of said terrorist attack, starting two simultaneous wars costing $12 billion/month in response, outing a covert CIA agent for political retaliation, playing air guitar while a major US city drowns, crapping on individual liberties by suspending the writ of habeas corpus and warrantless wiretapping, presiding over the largest ever one-day drop in the stock market and its resulting economic meltdown . . .

      OOPS! Sorry, wrong president . . .

Where was this guy to complain about the destruction of society when Bush/Cheney trampled on the Constitution with the Partiot Act, the suspension of Habeus Corpus, and the creation of Gitmo? If anything, Obama doesn't have enough time to unravel all the institutions and policies that the previous regieme put in place that defied the Constitutional principles of this country. Levin must permanently live in opposite day mode, where everything is the opposite of what it actually is.

You are correct about one thing, Mr. Levin. Saying President Obama is 'no better than President Bush' is, almost literally, baloney. He is so much better than Bush, the comparison becomes silly.

Of course, the rest of what you say is merely that. What you say. You cite no example, you give no evidence. You posture, and pontificate, and really say nothing at all of substance. He is aggressively trying to destroy society? And you can't give any evidence of such a sweeping program? You can't cite one fact in support of your deluded position? Really? And, I should believe you because... you say so? Sorry. This is not religion, this is politics. Go write a holy book, and offer to intercede for the sheeple you preach to, if you wished to be believed blindly and without need to defend what you say. I think you are in the wrong business.

I wish obama was THAT much different from past presidents. I think the problem may be that he is not. But where is the proof that he is such a big change from the past? Where is this proof of extreme measures or radical ideas? Its nowhere to be found except on talk radio and FOX news. Meanwhile the actual policies are the exact same ones of the past - universal healthcare, improving economy, trying to curb reliance on oil and clean environment. These are radical ideas?? The divide is all in the talk. Facts show this president is a moderate, a centrist even. He is focused on non-existent bi partisanship and not making any enemies.

Nixon was better for this country than Bush. Hoover was better for this country than Bush. The worst president any one can possibly think of still did better for the country than Bush. Not only did Bush do nothing to prevent the worst terrorist attack in history but completely eroded America's credibility abroad, brought us into two wars and oversaw the tanking of the US economy. Oh yea, and he lifted the deficit to record levels at the same time. Obama couldnt do worse if he was actively trying.

This right wing nut wack job is sydicated on the ABC Radio Network. Since this network is only heard in 24 states, on mostly AM stations, his listener base is very, very small. Hey! that means he's ireevlevant AND insignificant.
