Chris Wallace, I wish your Father could still give you a Spanking?
You took a Personal Private Conversation and put it on the Air? Is it your Father Chris that we should be Thanking?

Sanford was cheating on Wallace, too?

Seriously, what the hell is this? "A" hurts "B," and then proceeds to apologize to "C?"

When is Sanford going to apologize to the people of South Carolina and then show true contrition by resigning?

        jj, its what wingnuts do.

        In fact, sometimes, "A" hurts "B," then "B" proceeds to apologize to "A" for having gotten in the way, instead of the other way around {See Harry Whittington and Dick Cheney}

I loved when David vitter cheated on his wife with a hooker a few times. He then, apologized to the GOP in congress who preceded to give him a STANDING OVATION in congress. For what? i DONT KNOW. But these were the same congressman for the most part that worked to undermine clinton's whole presidency because of marital infidelities and certainly clinton, stayed within the law when he did this unlike vitters. Somehow, both vitters and sanford are seeking public office again. I dont get that AT ALL. Spitzer resigned almost immediately. What do they just not mind this in the state? I mean one was with a prostitute and the other just disappeared for four days without telling anything to anyone including his own family. Im surprised Mark Foley didnt stay on at this rate. i GUESS that was the only way to get removed from office in the GOP. Makes sense they would be bigots even in their removals from office.

Why would they applaud him? The fact that it was a hooker of the OPPOSITE sex shows that Vitter has no commitment to core Republican principles.

It has nothing to do with whether or not he's gay. I seriously doubt that he is, but, hey... how would any of us know, or even care? It's a matter of Wallace being a Faux News Channel sycophantic right wing suck up.

Remember when John McCain made a joke where he called Chelsea Clinton ugly and called Janet Reno ugly and masculine? He never apologized to either of them, but he did purportedly apologize to Bill Clinton.

What a joke? I wouldnt want a call for this dud. Your soul mate? Go live in argentina. We dont want you to be associated with America any more Mr. Sanford. Is this joke of a man really trying to run for president? Wow - this should be quite a selection of the GOP brain-dead. I think Sanford, Palin and Bush could all put their heads together and form a brain of average intelligence.

So apparently the possible candidates for the historic or at least historically amusing GOP run for 2012 are Palin, Sanford and Jindal.

Bobby Jindal is not nearly as dumb as the other two duds but he is vehemently conservative. He lets his politics erode his intelligence by allowing intelligent design to replace evolution in schools. He took a huge moral stand when opposing the stimulus and ended up accepting almost all of the money. And he has written about being someone being possessed by a demon - this was nonfiction of course. I love how the GOP party has seemed to have lost any cohesive policy regarding how to confront various new problems but have also decided to move the entire party even further away from the center than the thousands of miles they currently stand. So instead of bush's pro-war anti-taxes ignore everything else approach they want to add on the whole religious fanatic, conspiracy theorist, delusional reality and unable to compromise on anything models to the current repertoire. Yes 2012 should be interesting.

Wait, is Sanford seriously still thinking of running for president? I have to think that, as soon as he puts his sorry @$$ in front of any bunch of voters, he's in for a pretty rude shock.

I finished the article after i wrote that. At first it said he never really said if he was or wasn't but then, at the end it said some other political commentator or politician said he likely would not run after being a total joke. Although you never know, Vitter is definitely re-running from another term. I wouldnt put it past sanford but I doubt he would do well in the primary against palin and jindal and likely a few from last year like Huckabee and/or Romney.

Imagine a matchup between palin, sanford and jindal in the primaries. tHAT WOULD be a fricken circus. I think jindal is the only credible threat but even he is extremely conservative but he is actually intelligent unlike the other two. Here hoping palin gets the party vote for 2012 and is crushed.

I cant believe of all the people to let run again for political office after a marital affair, the GOP allows the guy who broke the law to run again. The same guy that gives lecture about why homosexuals shouldnt marry because "marriage is a sacred institution." He makes me ill when he talks - i literally want to vomit!

I have a big problem with hypocrites. Honestly, if a political got caught in a menage a trois with a hooker and the family dog on the front steps of the Capitol, I wouldn't mind as log as he wasn't one of those holier than thou types. I really don't care what people do to get themselves off (as long as it isn't a kid, and maybe the dog-no informed consent there) because it isn't my business. But, man, if some Bible thumper is hounding the cheaters and then gets caught doing the deed with someone other than the spouse, I have no qualms about laughing, jeering, and demanding their resignation. Lots of people cheat on their spouses, I don't like it, but it happens, I understand; I even understand why there are hypocrites, I am just less willing to let them get away with it because they wouldn't in someone else.

Mark Sanford shouldn't be apologizing to members of the media! How does he own an apology to them? They are only the middlemen - he should apologize to his family, his wife, his staff, and his constituents, but not to the media!

we can talk about how fox news is a joke, cause they are. the holder decision was worse than anything fox news could do, or dream of doing. he handed congress to the gop. this decision makes me sick to my stomach. we made all of these gains politically, and i'm watching it slowly slip away. wallace said he couldn't find someone to defend holder's decision. that's not just fox news. other news agencies are finding it difficult to have people defend it. and, where is holder or someone from his office??? they don't go on tv after a decision like this?? and its announced the day obama leaves for asia. this is the worst decision i've ever witnessed. it is bad from so many angles.

this is the worst decision. you can make a joke about my anxiety, but its real, and its with reason. the worst thing about this is KSM being tried in new york. he's the accused master mind. it will be a security risk for new york, NEW YORK!!! Remember that 911 thing?? obama is bringing anxiety to new york city, and the rest of the nation. you can talk about me freaking out, but this is destroying everything we fought for, in one single decision. i'm a democrat. i want democrats in control. i want those accused to have a fair trial, but not like this. its horrible. its not just a lose lose situation, its a lose lose lose.

i have come to a different conclusion, as i have thought more about this situation. my problem with the decision wasn't so much the decision, but how it would be portrayed in the media. given the reaction by republicans, and their continued fear mongering, i think this issue could hurt them as well. there always will be a security risk, no matter what the government(or anyone) does. i think the wheels of justice must be set in motion. i'm still a little uneasy about a trial in new york, but now i see that a trial in new york could be the best thing. it will give justice to the 911 families. it will also show the world that we are a free and open society.

If Wallace couldn't find someone to defend Holder's decision, it's because he didn't look.

We've tried many terrorists in civilian trials.

This nonsense that there's a War on Terrorism and therefore we have to try suspected terrorists in some kind of military setting is ridiculous.

We've tried, convicted and imprisoned many very dangerous people before, and we'll do it in the future too.

Our nation standing for what we have stood for for more than 200 years is much more important than any effort to simply indefinitely imprisoning these people without hearings. We know that many criminals who aren't given life sentences will leave prison and commit more crimes, but we don't let that stop us from giving them appropriate sentences for their crimes, do we?

youre not getting my point. have the trials, but not in new york, and most certainly not for KSM. he is the accused mastermind. this is unprecedented, and very risky. there is a good possibility for an attack, because he's the biggest fish. he will call for jihad from the bench. it will be a circus. obama looks insensitive to new yorkers. plus, there will be road closures, subway closures, and snipers(yes, there will be FBI snipers on rooftops). this trial will likely go on through 2012. we can prosecute these cases without destroying the progressive movement.

Fox's Chris Wallace: Gov. Mark Sanford "called" and "apologized" to me two months ago

Is this a trend with the right-wing? Sanford appologizing, Ensign appologizing, Steele appologizing, and Hannity appologizing.

Plus the way Gallagher and Wallace talked about the issue. They sounded like teenage girls! WOW!
