What has Liz Cheney ever done such that her opinion is worthy of merit?

        This is so true.

She's been given access/information from her Dad that she shouldn't have about Fed govt actions. She's lied about countless things. She's rude and dismissive when asked questions. She can't appear on any shows but the rightwing ones because she can't compete with any reasonable debate.

Please, please run her in 2012.

So far Creepy Crawley...excuse me, Dr. Creepy Crawley, gravitas comes from nepotism and coattails. Gee, I thought it meant being a deep thinker and a tireless worker. Instead, it means being your daddy's little toad.

Jeb Bush would have actually been a decent President, for a Republican. It's too bad that his brother ruined the family name. He don't have a chance now.

It's like a dream come true.
In fact, I think all the other Republican hopefuls should just bow out now and acclaim Liz their candidate.
She's perfect. You guys couldn't have found a better candidate.

I can hardly wait until America gets the chance to vote.

And these people thought Barack Obama was unqualified? Now they are promoting someone who's experience consists of holding nothing jobs in the state department created and given to her solely because Dick Cheney is her father.

Due to the present intense political interest there is in divining who will succeed President Obama, I propose a special debate for certain prospective candidates, who because they otherwise have no experience making or enforcing the Law at any level of government, must be considered separately from those other more conventional and more experienced candidates, such as Governors and Congresspersons and such.

The format of the debate shall be that each candidate be allowed 10 uninterrupted minutes to introduce their unconventional (and seemingly unqualified) selves, and to explain why they would make a good President to the American people... and then the balance of the debate would be the regular alternating sound-bite festival we have become accustomed to in political debates, sound-bites alternating with the idiotic questions of a celebrity 'journalist'.

At this present time, the candidates could be donald trump and maybe Warren Beatty, and Joe The Plumber (does he even have a real name?), and of course this girl mentioned above, Dick Cheney's daughter... maybe George W. Bush's daughters too, and while we're at it, rush limbaugh and glenn beck and sean hannity and whatever other media hacks or celebrities you might invite.

The debate would not really be a test of how viable and qualified the candidates are, because they are all obviously no more qualified to be President than is Big Bird or any other Sesame Street character... the test would be to see just how gullible and/or stupid you are.

Great. Another woman for you libs to drag through the mud out of fear.

Liz Cheney can certainly debate that's for sure. I don't know how good she is at reading a teleprompter, something that carried our current president to victory.

I'm not a lib and I don't know anybody who "fears" Liz Cheney. She's just a liar who is trying to keep her dear old daddy out of prison for his war crimes.

As for teleprompters, you are aware that the idiots who are constantly trashing him for his use of teleprompters [just like every other recent president] would be LOST without their own, right?

        Silly post.

I know . . . Hannity, the biggest purveyor of the teleprompter line would be LOST without his. I'm sure that there is a similar video of Sean somewhere bellyaching about the TP.

            Hypocrisy at its finest! LOL!

The ability to debate is pointless if nobody cares what you say. The fact that the next election is still 3 years away and the GOP is talking about who they want to replace Obama should tell us that they don't give a flying fudge about the country until then. Their singular mission is to say "No" to everything Obama does.

And are you really going to do the teleprompter thing after Bush? The guy was a disaster whenever he tried to speak on his own.

A Palin - Cheney ticket would be a godsend for Democrats everywhere.

You also know that "debate" requires that the debater be able to debate both sides of the issue equally well. Cheney can't debate well, she can just state her own twisted and false opinion articulately while shouting down the people who disagree with her. That's not debate.

Speaking of 'knowing both sides in a debate', a friend of mine (registered Republican, not Neocon, but sometimes HSKB [He Should Know Better] on subjects) in High School was put on the 'anti-Death Penalty' side, against his own views. His side won, and when the teacher congratulated, he pointed out the flaws in the 'pro-Death Penalty' side's arguments.

Exactly. I was in debate in high school. We had to research BOTH pro and con of the designated issue for the year and never knew until we got to the actual debate which side we had to debate. A "GOOD" debater can argue both sides equally well. Cheney just talks non-stop and doesn't allow anyone to say anything. That's not "good debate." That's just rudeness and fear that someone's going to be able to prove you wrong.

Here they come again with the tired old "teleprompter bit". Just curious, you do realize that all recent Presidents used teleprompters, right? That would include your hero Reagen, as well as Bush senior and Bush the lesser. It is time to find something new and maybe, original. I realize that most wing nuts have never had an original thought, but there's always a first time.
