If anyone is leery of coming to New York City over safety concerns, it's not because of KSM, and his trial is not going to change that.

They don't state the obvious truth: just as many people will be drawn to New York because of the trial.

Seems to me like it would be a shot in the arm for NYC to get some justice in NYC. Call me quirky.

As a life-long resident of New York City, I can only say "screw off, Nikpour" (and what kind of a name is "Nikpour" anyway?). I want these guys to go to trial here and face justice here (hopefully ten minutes in a room with a bunch of people who lost friends and/or family on 9/11).

Maybe Sean should literally do his show from underneath his bed (as opposed to the way he figuratively does it now).

I'm trying to figure out why this would have any effect on tourism. No one is not going to come to New York because of the trial, except perhaps hard-line conservatives trying to make a trivial political point.

Just for fun, let's see how 9/11 effected NY Tourism:

      NYC Visitors (in millions):
      2000: 36.2
      2001: 35.2
      2002: 35.3
      2003: 37.8
      ....
      2008: 47.0

Clearly, tourism suffered so much so after 9/11 that tourism grew rapidly after only 1 year (and even the numbers grew minimally in 2002). If a terrorist attack that takes 3,000 lives and puts lower Manhattan into chaos can't deter tourists, I doubt a trial can.

You know, if the right wingers are so terrified on KSM then they'll probably stay away from NYC.
That's reason enough to visit New York.

im sure there are people already scared to go to new york because of the amount of crime that exists, just like they would feel about LA or chicago... why should they be freaking out because of some terrorism planners being on trial with tons of security on them?

I'd be more worried about having my walk through Central Park spoiled by seeing Sean Hannity in jogging shorts.

Yeah-- tourism in Alexandria, Virginia, has just been devastated since the terror trial of al Zarqaoui.

      Sheesh.
