From the June 11 edition of Limbaugh's show:

RUSH: Very predictably, ladies and gentlemen, the media, the American left is trying to score some political points as a result of this tragedy at the Holocaust Museum in Washington yesterday, and as predictable, they are trying to blame this on me, other conservatives and right-wingers.  It's the traditional approach taken by the American left.  The facts of the case, however, are such that if we want start assigning blame for this beyond this nutcase Jew hater, and notice that very few people actually want to do that.  They want to claim this guy didn't have the ability to act on his own.  He only could act if he was inspired by somebody.  Well, who did he hate?  He hated both Bushes.  He hated neocons.  He hated John McCain.  He hated Republicans.  He hated Jews as well.  He believes in an inside job conspiracy of 9/11.  This guy is a leftist, if anything.  This guy's beliefs, this guy's hate stems from influence that you find on the left, not on the right.  But let's listen to some of the audio sound bites from the Drive-By and the State-Run Media from yesterday afternoon through last night.  Here's the first.  This is a montage of cable stations talking about the incident last night.

Hey, OMIBF, you do understand that you are not the be all and end all in conservative beliefs, right? First, even if the people who post here are all "liberal," that doesn't make them loony, they just disagree with your loony, non-conservative ideology and Second, I've not seen you really post much in the way of true conservatism . . . you just chime in and agree with Rush, Beck and the rest of the CRAZY non-conservative comedians on Fox and hate talk radio. Agreeing with those nutjobs doesn't make you a conservative . . . it just means you agree with their made for the airwaves lunacy.

Your use of the childish name for Mr. Obama shows your lack of maturity, BTW. He wasn't my choice, but nothing he has done so far in his presidency justifies your childish name-calling of him.

I just get so sick of these folks who listen to Fox and hate talk radio, agree and believe that makes them conservative and everyone who disagrees with their bizarro made-up ideology is a "liberal."

There is nothing intrinsically wrong or right with either liberalism or conservatism AND they are not the only two political ideologies in this country. NO ONE is 100% liberal OR conservative.

            Sorry, pet peeve. LOL!

True, but there are some who have a proclivity toward letting others do their thinking for them. These are the ones we call "righties", and seem to be predominantly Republican. As our "rightie" commenters here often like to point out, all the talkers with the largest audiences are self-proclaimed conservatives, and blatantly Republican. And their listeners are most likely to echo their rhetoric, such as "Dittos Rush!" or "YOU'RE a great American!" with gushing enthusiasm. The fact that liberals have a harder time playing Pied Piper with their progressive-minded brethren would indicate that intellectual independence is clearly weighted heavily in favor of the liberal camp.

Thus the truth in the humor of "I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat".

        From here, (reality)
I was going to ask you for an example of how defining something from one's own perspective to suit one's own needs leads to a wrong conclusion. But you already did.

Anyone remember the shooting at Camp Liberty, in Iraq? I wonder if Rush thought that was a tragedy?

I'm just amazed at how much the righties know, I guess just through ethereal osmosis, about the world and life and especially stuff that one would think only investigators and those intimate with the situation would know. And yet, they seem so stupid about the stuff that's obvious to the rest of us.

Like, Rush knows the shooting was a jihad. And yet, he doesn't have the foggiest notion about the constitution's primary function of insuring checks and balances.

      Idiot savant? Or just idiot?

As an experienced recipient of actions by Jew haters, I can personally testify most of them are on the right...and enjoy listening to figures such as Limbaugh.

And he knows it. Why do you think he's so all gung ho otherwise?

And--as we sadly know--today's brand of xenophobia and other similar reactions to anyone Muslim is also whipped up to frenzy levels by the Limbaughs of this world.

      And he knows that too.

Forget about Rush stupidity for a moment and read below:

      America is heading for HELL!!

Due to the standards set forth by an Obama Presidency, HELL awaits America; the reason is, America can not return to the old way of doing things in Washington, post Obama.
Thanks to Obama The cat is out the bag and exposure is everything.
Republicans, in particular, has shown themselves to all people of the world... that they have a problem with the American people and world leaders under a black President.
Have you noticed Republicans ONLY cater to the far right of their base? They no longer tolerate moderates in their Party. In affect, they can not be trusted to govern a cross section of society in their present state of mind.
How can Republicans win elections with people like Rush Limbaugh and Tea Baggers running the Party (without stealing them)?
Right now Republicans are going crazy thinking about the ultimate power (presidency) and will they ever get to enjoy it again.
On the other hand, Democrats must uphold the standards left behind by Obama. For Democrats that is the only way to do things now that an Obama Presidency has forced people to open their eyes.
Will Democrats do it and CAN Democrats do it?
      I repeat;
After Obama's legacy.... America is heading for HELL.

A bit on the subtext of words.
There are people who are Republicans, and those who are registered as Republicans, and they are quite different. Those who 'are' define their lives by certain dogmatic views of the world, such as Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, and the Fauxians. By contrast, those who are 'registered as' have fully functioning lives, and do not have to cling to eternally unchanging views to reassure themselves they have value. The latter group (RINOs in the view of the former) may be Conservative, or Centrist/Moderate and willing to accept compromise, and they will reasonably debate their views (remember, debate isn't to convince The Other Side, but those 'observing' the debate who are uncertain or uncommitted).
The first 'are' group defines everything in their lives by the line on their Voter Registration Card, with a 'certainty' that masks the fact that they are uncertain about The World and their place in it. They feel (note: this would be a better term for them than 'think') that anyone who doesn't see the 'brilliant knowledge' of their views are sub-human and dangerous because the 'other' might prove to them that they are uncertain because they are naive about how Reality works.

I am confused by this, from the very second I heard about the shouting I hoped it wasn't a Muslim man because if it was I knew this whole thing would start. When I heard it was actually a Muslim gentleman who had committed this act of madness (Yes, not terrorism.) I slapped myself in the face and thought "Here we go again."
