I think that is an astonishing number.
Imagine - to quote NewsBusters' favorite word - how many people would support healh care reform if the truth were being told about it?

This method of coping with failure and incompetence was pretty popular during Bush's eight years of boobery. It's true that doing the right thing sometimes makes enemies, but the far right cultists decided the converse was true, that if people didn't like you, it meant you were doing well. Bush's falling poll numbers were constantly explained as due to his following principles with no concerns about political popularity.
It's not a very enviable model the wingnuts are using, framing failure, making laughingstocks of themselves and being busted on BS as signs of victory, or at least "shaking things up".
I believe he missed it, as he was attending the funeral of his teddy bear that suicided while watching Hannity.
