After all the lies that have been told about the health care reform bills, half the country still supports it.

I think that is an astonishing number.

Imagine - to quote NewsBusters' favorite word - how many people would support healh care reform if the truth were being told about it?

"It was impacting. And I'm glad that we got to shake it up a little bit"

      Loose translation:

"It doesn't matter that I lied through my teeth, anything is OK when I am arguing against something I don't like."

Sarah of The North doesn't seem much brighter than her dim-witted fans who post comments here. Rational people laugh at this ridiculous, dishonest embarrassment of a vice-presidential candidate, and the Palinistas figure "she must be doing something right if people are talking about her".

This method of coping with failure and incompetence was pretty popular during Bush's eight years of boobery. It's true that doing the right thing sometimes makes enemies, but the far right cultists decided the converse was true, that if people didn't like you, it meant you were doing well. Bush's falling poll numbers were constantly explained as due to his following principles with no concerns about political popularity.

It's not a very enviable model the wingnuts are using, framing failure, making laughingstocks of themselves and being busted on BS as signs of victory, or at least "shaking things up".

Let's see if there is a video or audio where Sean Hannity stated that Palin did "NOT" start the 'death panel' rumor to kill HealthCare Reform for the Republicans. Oh boy, wonder if Mr. Stewart was listening to this interview? Uh, oh. LOL.

I believe he missed it, as he was attending the funeral of his teddy bear that suicided while watching Hannity.

That kid Levi said she was a liar; said she lies about everything. Looks like this kid is proving himself right about this woman . .

Oh no it's the battle for who will own health care...its a three way between Aetna,Blue Cross, and "BIG government"....hold on this just in....the government is not really taking over but you can choose to have the government provide health care INSURANCE....well that's anti-climatic well a big fat lie gets everyone's attention better than the truth. By her definition 1/6th of the economy is dominated by 4 health care providers.

This constant talking about 1/6 of the economy without the follow up question, "Why is it 1/6 of the U.S. economy when other industrialized nations, covering their entire populations, are spending no more than 1/12?" I understand why Sean wouldn’t follow up, but I rarely hear anyone in the media ask this question when that number is thrown around. The assertion that the government is taking over healthcare is just a big lie that somehow has become acceptable in polite conversation—some sort of background noise nobody calls them on anymore.
