I'm not sure this is racist. I think he's saying that Obama is more popular among African Americans and Gallup is tipping the balance by polling more African Americans. Maybe I'm wrong though. I can't hear the audio so I'm just going by the headline.

I agree with you, shaggles. It seems like all a conservative has to do is use the word 'African-American' or 'black' in a sentence and they are immediately labled a racist. That can't help.

I must say I admire your openmindedness, shaggles. Mr. Limbaugh leads off by saying that the latest FOX Propaganda poll has Obama's approval rating at 46%. He then accuses Gallup of polling more heavily among black Americans to artificially inflate the president's approval rating, just over 50%.

So, my question is: Why not Democrats? Why not left-handed people? Why not short or tall or some other demographic? Why did Rush choose to accuse them of polling more heavily among black Americans? My answer, of course, is because Mr. Limbaugh is racist. The standard being somewhat subjective, I'm more than willing to hear arguments for other possibilities.

Does Rush cite ANY evidence that this is indeed happening, Oldhill? ANY? Or does he simply make a RACIST ASSUMPTION that Gallup has dishonestly and unethically SKEWED its poll in order to make Obama appear more popular than he is, and then freely vomited his racist assumption all over the public airwaves?

What the hell's wrong with you?

Limbaugh claimed Gallup is "upping the sample of black Americans" to keep Obama's approval rating over 50 percent

Well now, Limpy, seeing as African Americans like myself are less than 13 percent of the US population, I fail to see how "upping the sample" would do any good.

Or -- and I know this is hard for you to take - is it possible that, Obama's approval rating is above 50 percent because, unlike your bubble boy Bush, more people -- gasp! --- actually LIKE him??!!

Limbaugh sees everything thru a racial prism. He doesn't want to believe Gallop so he makes up something like this to rationalize it away!!I guess the votes last November were imaginary too! Why do mainstream media and politicians excuse everything offensive that he says?
He's always saying something racist, racial or racebaiting about every issue. His disrespect for so many people and especially the President is deplorable!!!Why does anyone listen to this man?Its a sad state of affairs for him to be defended and called "a direct speaker","straight shooter" is beyond me.Daily race baiting, divisive, dangerous rhetoric will set us back..already has!!!

I've always thought these right wing puppeteers had the easiest job in the world, feeding their pablum to the audience of people with no critical thinking skills, no curiosity, and no functioning BS detectors.

It seems to have gone to a completely new level since Obama's election, where Rush and his clones don't even try to back anything up anymore.

Question: Will this statement by Limbaugh help any of his supporters to begin to understand why the NFL wanted nothing to do with him?

Answer: No, Limbaugh's supporters don't need facts, they've got their minds made up already. (In this way, they're sort of like athletic supporters.)

If Rush is right and blacks mindlessly support a president who's black, then how does he explain the unpopularity of Clarence Thomas among blacks?

then how does he explain the unpopularity of Clarence Thomas among blacks?

That is because Clarence Thomas is past version of Alan Keys! Thomas has said alot of comments denouncing his african-american race. So he is not supported by the african-american community. We will be happy when he leaves. Like he should have in the 1990's.

Rush's moronic, partisan, and false statements are not so shocking.
But, the fact that Fox News conducted a poll where 50% of its subscribers approved of Obama produced an almost animated reaction out of me, the kind where my jaw drops to the floor, and my eyes get big and burst out of my sockets.

Nope and am disappointed that he hasn't done a couple of things that I felt were very important BUT, he has accomplished a great deal during his 10 months [tomorrow] in office.

Though I do not like Limbaugh and I disagree with him 80% of the time, I trust he is telling it exactly as he sees it. I don't think he has a PC filter as most people do. This trait is admirable. A large portion of African-americans not all, voted for Obama. I do consider him a racist, but that is my opinion and fact and I am keeping it. Not everyone agrees with me, but I am not on here to influience people to believe me, just speaking my opinion.

I trust he is telling it exactly as he sees it.

I doubt it! He is known for inflation of the truth. The only way he would know is to go to the areas of high population of african-americans and ask, but he will never do that. Obama is still considered popular with african-americans.

Its funny how a person who failed every college course that he had can understand the intricacy of polling and sampling numbers. I would really like for him to explain variance, confidence intervals, p-values, standard deviations, and all the other formulas and terms that are common in polling. Everyday, he brings a new academic hat to his show, purporting to be an economist, political scientist, or a sociologist. This guy is a joke and an insult to America and intellectuals in general.
