Long before Nancy Pelosi was being attacked daily, we had a certain First Lady who was accused by the Right of arranging the murder of a close friend.

I haven't heard that accusation leveled at Palin.

last i checked, no progressives made jokes about physically harming sarah palin. maybe fox and friends should air bill oreilly (on beck's radio show), talking about pelosi "bobbing" up and down in the boston harbor. or what about frank luntz and don imus ridiculing pelosi's appearance and laughing about her alleged "botox" and "face lifts".

i almost forgot beck's fascination with hillary clinton's pant suits. he would ridicule her for always wearing pant suits. nobody, including palin, pointed out how sexist that was of beck. did he think she should be wearing a dress?? maybe he thought she should be wearing a long religious compound length dress!?!?

Pelosi takes the hits and keeps moving forward. When's the last time Pelosi, in an interview/press conference, complained about how she was being treated in the media? She certainly has reason to.
With Palin it's a non-stop "Stop picking on me".
Stick with the issues Sarah. Stop giving us this "woe is me" bravado.

The Palinites are such whiners. This ridiculous woman is trying to position herself as the leader of the "Conservative Movement", and, she may very well succeed. She's fair game.

The really scary part is that, given the volatile nature of today's political climate, she could conceivably be our next President. It's not too hard to imagine a scenario in which the Troglodytes take back Congress in 2010, then waste two years trying to impeach Obama. A weakened and demoralized Democratic Party could be easy pickings in 2012, even for a halfwit like Simple Sarah.

      I shudder at the thought.

Republicans are polled at "scaring" the majority of Americans during our Country's trying times, while Democrats are polled as "hard-workers". The only people who think that 2010 are a good fight for Republicans to take back Congress are FoxNews, Republicans, Conservatives, Neo-Conservatives and Tea Baggers. Not so in real America.

The rest of America "know" and "love" how Democrats and some Moderate-Republians are working hard to bring our America back from those disaster years left by Conservative-Republicans. No need to worry for Americans vote on "results" and 2010 looks rather good for so many Democrats and Moderate-Republicans. LOL.

I heard the last 100 pages of her book are blank because she quit writing it...

But these conservative women really bring it on themselves with their high and mighty holier than thou attitudes. Just like Prajean, who came off like some little perfect christian claiming she's being picked on for her christianly views only to find out she's a porn star with nekkid teen photos to boot. The saddest part is they will continue to lie and claim they are "saved" just to sucker the holy roller crowd who will defend them tooth and nail from us mean liberals...

Prejean was so "fake" as a Christian young lady that Conservatives, Republicans, Neo-Conservatives ALL stated had good Christian values. Remember how Sean Hannity promoted her? LOL. And then came the video that Prejean made for her boyfriend when she was 17... Uuuugh. Just nasty, LOL.

Anyways, it's the Republicans who ALWAYS market their Conservative Women by saying how jealous the "Liberals" are of them. Never do these same Republicans give ANY facts of this as they just say it over and over as if it's their "lies" are the "facts", LOL.

Pelosi is not going to run for President. With Palin though, that is a possibilty. As long as Palin keeps that hideous prospect hanging over peoples' heads, she will be severely criticized and exposed for the fact that she is totally incompetent and would be a disaster for the country.

If she were to announce that she will never run for President, the extent and harshness of any criticism would disappear immediately.

Seriously? Gretchen, you aren't watching your own program or any other show on your network, for that matter. It's trash Pelosi 24/7. I've asked some of my friends who are faithful Foxbots to tell me exactly why they hate her so much and not a SINGLE one can tell me a real reason except to cite something they've heard on Fox.

I guess if these conservative women we supposedly over-scrutinize would stop saying and doing the incredibly dumb things they do...we might not even know who they were.

See Michele Bachmann, Virginia Foxx, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Carrie Prejean or Michele Malkin if you need any more evidence of female conservative stupidity.

I see liberals like Joan Walsh, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, Amy Klobuchar, Hillary Clinton, and Rachel Maddow as bright, passionate intellectuals whose ideas and opinions I respect.

The contrasts between the above noted groups of women are glaringly obvious to me.

Bush did got soem poor taste and over the top criticism, but with the Republicans, it is not only non-stop criticism of the President (lots of it contradicts previous criticism), but the criticize anyone who gets in their way: Pelosi, Reid, all the Congressional Democrats, families (including children) of liberal politicians. They have even begun visciously attacking their own (NY-23). Conservatives are setting a new standard of low!

What? Palin gets more scrutiny than Pelosi? I highly doubt that. And conservative women are rarely attacked. Most of the attacks (if you can even call them that) against Palin have come from other conservatives.

This is the conservatives putting Palin in a glass jar and saying that no one is allowed to touch her but them. They take any criticism or question about something she said as a direct attack on her because she's a conservative woman. This is complete BS.

To sound like Hannity, Palin is their holy anointed one, the messiah. Pelosi is made fun of and degraded every single day by Rush and other right-wing talking heads. Every time Dick Morris is on Fox, he tries to rip apart Hillary. But I don't hear anyone on the left screaming sexism. The right has been playing that card since Palin came on state. They must have forgotten when Palin told Hillary to stop whining about being attacked. Oops.

Nancy Pelosi is third in line for President. As such, her policies, actions, and ethics deserve scrutiny, and more than a mere past candidate for office or a sitting member of a state government. However, Mrs. Pelosi's actions and ethics are rarely discussed. Instead, she is repeatedly described in animal terms, her face and voice are constantly harped on, her appearence criticized, and with the immediate and on-going conclusion that she is a monster and threat to society. But the truth is, Nancy Pelosi had to work her way up the system to get where she is and to stay there. She garners the respect of the people she works most closely with, who see what she does on a daily basis. They don't seem to mind that she is an older woman with fading looks that might have been botoxed. (And she doesn't mind Mr. Boehner's sprayed on tan and pompous demeanor!) Mrs. Pelosi deserves to be admired for what she has been able to do. Sarah Palin who ran for high office and quit her elected office with a full third of the term remaining, and who holds some very conservative religious, economic, and political views is often criticized for being ambitious, uneducated, disengenous, and sometimes, flat out stupid. But, when she is called stupid, people can often point directly to something she actually said. And a lot of the worst stuff that has been said about her has come from the people who worked with her. And no, this has nothing to do with her looks. She is pretty, and she is a bit street savy, she is an authentic example of a certain group of people, but that doesn't make her fit for high office. And she shouldn't be expected to play Major League Baseball if she is only in the Little Leagues. And we shouldn't get clucked at for pointing that out.

What a surprise! On a FOX News poll, people like Palin more than Pelosi! Wow!

...I wonder if they realize that Palin, even on a FOX poll, which caters to the demographic with the highest percentage of Palin supporters, she has less than 50% approval. Pathetic.
