      Glenn Beck will gladly appear at your next event to talk to you about how Landrieu is a high-class prostitute. Simply phone Beck's pimp--Sorry, I mean the Premiere Speakers Bureau--to discuss Beck's fee.

      (*I posted the above in another thread; thought it might be worth repeating. I'm guessing Beck's fee is about $50K, but it may be even higher. Especially if you want a weekend with Glenn...)

        So Beck MAKES money to run his business and that is BAD, but Landrieu TAKES money as a bribe to pass non-constitutional (a document she has sworn to uphold) health insurance, and that is GOOD? Interesting logic.

          Whatever your opinion on the healthcare bill, it's not okay to call a woman a prostitute. You definitely wouldn't say this about any man. It's ugly, misogynistic, and very typical of modern American conservatism.

          Your imaginary person said "It's bad for Glenn Beck to make money to run his business."

          The real person said Glenn Beck has a "pimp" who you call to negotiate a very high price for Beck to come to you, preened and in a private jet (at your expense), for an evening's "entertainment"--perhaps to tell you what women he thinks are whores.

            I am still trying to understand your problem with it? It is a voluntary agreement between private parties for an exchange of services for cash; as opposed to involuntary government seizure of taxpayer earned income in exchange for a Senator's political expediency.

      Does Beck know that every state has TWO senators? I think he may be ignorant of that fact, because when it comes to senators from Louisiana and the expressions "hooking" and "prostitutes," it's Republican David Vitter who should come to mind, not Democrat Mary Landrieu.

      If there is a Mr. Landrieu, I hope his name is Beauregard and I hope he challenges those two pieces of white trash to a duel! I'll be his second! Southerners may hate Obama, but they sure won't allow their womenfolk to be treated thataway.

      BECK NAILED IT!! This style of politics is out of bounds when a bill of this magnatude comes to the floor. Then to publicly state that she will not apologize for her $300,000,000.00 windfall shows again our politicians are bought. That is an "in your face" to every American that has called, and emailed thier "public servant" to express thier concern about any issue. Lets say Gates or Buffett want to pay to play. Is there a problem?? I'd say so. The only difference is WE all chipped in for this hooker. Just only a few will get kissed. Hey Rush! Another one strapped on her political bomb! Bye Bye Mary

        If she was a hooker, the money would be going towards fishnet stockings and blow. This money is going to Medicaid, ensuring that poor people are not left for dead when they get sick. I know you'd like to pretend that this is some sort of huge scandal but it just isn't.

          Im sure that the $300,000,000.00 will save us all from the mass clean-up of poor dead people lying in our streets in Louisiana. Whatever. If you tell me that this Senators "playing politics" passes your "sniff test" then perhaps I could sell you some land in Florida.

            Medicaid. Not corpse clean up. We're all just ecstatic that Glenn Beck has gotten you interested in politics but do your homework first. If you had, you probably would have realized that there really is nothing unusual about giving a legislator something extra to make legislation more favorable to a particular state/district. We live in a large, federalized state so this is actually to be expected and without it we'd get nothing done. In fact, the only thing unusual whatsoever about the particular earmark Ms. Landrieu received is that it was traded for a vote to proceed with debate as opposed to a vote on legislation, the typical case. Remember the so-called Bridge to Nowhere that Sarah Palin actually supported before it became politically unpopular to do so? That cost 400 mil. This is 300 mil and will actually be going towards something of real value to society.

            You can go ahead and continue to pretend that this is some sort of big scandal and that this is corruption at its highest but that really only proves the extent to which you're an ignorant rube. Do your homework.
