Hmmmn, I think I'll think about it, after I quit laughing at the great eejit on steroids. Really, what a very rancid mind this man has. May he be subjected to a deep fried turkey incident! ;-0)

Well we have to steal Thanksgiving. It's a stepping stone to winning the War against Christmas.

I just love seeing x-mas decorations in stores - in OCTOBER! Nothing like diminishing a holiday that celebrates the founding of America and the laying aside of cultural differences to help each other in favor of a holiday that has a fake fat man flying through the air promoting consumerism in the name of Jeeeeebus!

Let us all remember how Jesus walked across the Atlantic, to eat at yet another supper...The Thanksgiving Supper. With an axe in either hand, he chopped turkey heads off left and right, "shocking and awing" the native population. He then turned the water into wine and everyone got smashed while waiting for the turkey to roast, while the good pilgrims fought with their inebriated aunts and uncles. When all was prepared, everyone gathered around the table, and Jesus carved the bird.

      In Jesus' name, amen.

Of course, none of the Neocon pundits would do anything vaguely like that, right Glenn Beck?

Hijacking national holidays for some political agenda - not so bad (if this is what obama was actually doing which it isnt).

Hijacking national memorial days for some political agenda - REALLY bad (beck is actually the only person I know who has actually done something some contemptible)

So Obama can't have a state dinner too close to Thanksgiving because it is uniquely American? What a nonsensical criticism.
I was going to invite my neighbors over for a spaghetti dinner tonight, but since they're Bulgarian, I probably should wait till next week, huh? Can I have my Jewish friends over around Christmas? That is a uniquely Christian holiday.

I am waiting for these crazies to criticize Obama when he pardons that turkey.

What if Obama pardons the turkey the same way Sarah Palin did last year?

Palin pardons one turkey but those others....

They'll claim the turkey was a terrorist and the pardon was proof of Obama's hatred for 'Merka.

He need some ridiculous nonsense to fill the time. This criticism is no more moronic to me than most other vomit that Limbaugh spews. Its actually refreshing in a way - no character assassinations, wild conspiracy theories, fear-mongering or bigotry. Just plain old nonsensical criticism (I think). Like we used to do with bush except our criticism actually made sense.

Let's see, the Bush Administration hardly held any State Dinners. Dubya couldn't be bothered, he liked to go to be early. And well, Laura likes cigarettes and Margaritas, but they don't go over well at State Dinners. Now, it may not have occurred to Rush, but it did to me, maybe, it was convenient for Prime Minister Singh to come at this time. The President had to move the party out to the lawn because the 400 people wouldn't fit in the State Dining Room. The only thing I am annoyed about is that I didn't get invited. And while I love Indian food, maybe they should serve something else. After all, Mr. Singh gets good Indian food just about any day of the week, he might like something different.......or maybe not. I hope they asked what he likes. It must be awful to be invited to a fancy dinner like that and not like the food.

What do they call Indian food in India? Is it just "food"? Like, "hey - let's go out for Food tonight"?

Well, it would be called by the name of the dish. I happen to be very fond of Biryanis and Jalfresees, and Vindaloo, which is a Sikh dish, good for PM Singh, since he is a Sikh. And Rogan Josh. In fact, next week, I am taking homemade Lamb Biryani to a potluck dinner, and following the very next morning, I am taking Chili Rellenos veriation to the office potluck breakfast. Food in my house is always interesting.

The only uniquely American food we have, we got from the Native Americans. In fact, a lot of what we will eat on thursday will be uniquely PRE-American.

I consider burgers and hot dogs american. Most types of fast food chains seem american. I dont know. Turkey and stuffing does not seem American to me - as you said, pre-american but it is hard to pinpoint American food. If I could say one thing, it is definitely hamburgers.

"I consider burgers and hot dogs american." -- Sharpe

You should reconsider. Hamburger was originally called Hamburg Steak, and came from Hamburg, Germany, while hot dogs, aka Frankfurters, came from -- you guessed it -- Frankfurt.

Americans may have IMPROVED on them, but both hamburgers and hot dogs are German in origin.

There is no real general indian food in india. It varies drastically by region and city. Bangalore's food does not really resemble Bombay at all. Calcutta is nothing like Dehli. They all have the name of the regional food attached to it. Or they just call the specific dish by its actual name. Like we don't call hamburgers american food. We dont say lets grill up some american (or dont usually). We say lets grill up some burgers. Same idea.

Even your listeners cannot be dumb enough in all their ignorance to buy into this one. Everythings got to have an alterior motive right Rush? Nothing is ever just what is actually supported by facts. There is always some evil lurking underneath the sham that is the democratic white house. Of course! I hope you choke on a wish bone!

Can we just cut Rush's show to the single minute a day it would take him to say "I hate Obama! You should too! Everything he does is wrong--regardless of what I might have felt about it had someone else done it." Seems like it would save us a lot of heartburn and still deliver the content his adoring masses want to hear.
