Is this man capable of doing a single day's radio show during which he does not advocate some form of violence?

      That's a serious question.

It should be a serious question. I really do think that the right wing crackpots would welcome violence in the streets. Some of these talkers brag about how much ammunition they have stored. Why do you think they are storing all the ammunition? It's not because paper targets are going on sale after Christmas at Walmart!

We've already had a guard at the Holocaust Museum, a guy in Pittsburgh, and a doctor, shot by unhinged right wing crackpots, in just the last few months.

Hopefully something will stop these guys, before someone is killed again.

Naming the scientists who have came out and said global warming exists would result in a book. And its not just individuals, its national and international science societies. In fact, almost every major science society on climate change in the world has agreed that the IGPCC conclusions were correct. Thats tens of thousands of scientists.

And what if, just what if, this isn't a hoax, and these e-mails written between scientists, using their occupational jargon, have been taken out of context? Glaciers have retreated by 70%, polar bears are disappearing, jelly fish are invading places (and ruining the fishing) that were previously too cold for them. Insects are moving into areas where they couldn't live before. There will be no more snows on Kilamanjaro within a few years. The permafrost is melting, and average temperatures have gone up. It is conservatives-in particular the Theocons, who have lied and distorted. After all, if there is going to be rapture or end of the world in a few years, it doesn't matter. Or God wouldn't allow the destruction of the planet! Maybe they are the ones who should be named and fired. And Rush, do you know what drawing and quartering is? It's tying someone to four horses and having them pulled apart! What a barbaric thing to even suggest!

He'd probably say something like * It's sort of like hazing, a fraternity prank. Sort of like that kind of fun.

His medical exemption is dubious. He has tried to hide his own history. It's embarrassing to him, mostly because his 'condition' really wasn't a big deal. A Pilonidal cyst is nothing more than having a hairy, pimply backside (a massive backside in Rush's case) by definition and by degree.

More than likely the e-mails are from a whistleblower in the organization.

The reason some of the most prominent global warming scientists need to alter the data and block any opposition is that there is little evidence of man made global warming.

Polar bear populations are today the largest ever recorded, 300% larger than the 1950s.

There has been no signs of global warming temperatures for 15 years and temperatures have actually been cooling the last 8 years.

Ocean temperatures are also slightly cooler.

The Arctic sea ice extent in mid September was 24% larger than two years ago. The Antarctic sea ice extent in the same period was one million square kilometers larger than just one year earlier.

Antarctica, with 90% of the globe's land ice, had the most sea ice ever recorded in 2008.

Global hurricanes and their intensity are at 50 year lows!

With no signs of global warming, and quite a few years of cooling (Germany had the coldest October temperatures ever recorded).

October US temperatures were the third coldest in the last 115 years.

No wonder the global warming alarmists must "cherry-pick" their data and try to silence critics, because the man made global warming theory lacks any basis, whatsover.

I am an independent that usually disagrees with everyone on Mediamatters. However, I am not stupid; global warming is a consequence that we need to face. Al Gore used the best phrase: "An Inconvenient Truth".

With the hundreds of billions wasted in places like Iraq, we could have been investing in things like solar energy, wind power, hydrogen cars, etc. etc.

Rush is wrong on this. He is wrong on a lot of things but he is belligerently naive on this one.

Well if you actually read the facts then go to his website in a couple days you will see that he is ACTUALLY right on 95.5% of the material he states..get ur facts right before you jump to conclusion..and another example of why Al Gore is where he is today is because of his movie he released a few years ago with some footage that is strikingly scary..seems to be the exact same from the movie Day After Tomorrow. Hmmm could not get real film from collapsing glaciers?? ITS FAKE!! OPEN YOUR EYES AND GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF MAINSTREAM MEDIAS ASS!! As someone else stated below me that it is ok to expose Sarah Palin's email on mainstream, yet you have not even heard a word about this hacker sent from God to expose this hoax!

If it is ok to steal Palin's e-mails and publish them then why not these scientists. I am no supporter of Palin but these scientists have a lot more influence on the globe than she does.

      George Monbiot says it best:

"It’s no use pretending that this isn’t a major blow. The emails extracted by a hacker from the climatic research unit at the University of East Anglia could scarcely be more damaging. I am now convinced that they are genuine, and I’m dismayed and deeply shaken by them.

Yes, the messages were obtained illegally. Yes, all of us say things in emails that would be excruciating if made public. Yes, some of the comments have been taken out of context. But there are some messages that require no spin to make them look bad. There appears to be evidence here of attempts to prevent scientific data from being released, and even to destroy material that was subject to a freedom of information request.

Worse still, some of the emails suggest efforts to prevent the publication of work by climate sceptics, or to keep it out of a report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. I believe that the head of the unit, Phil Jones, should now resign. Some of the data discussed in the emails should be re-analysed.

I apologise. I was too trusting of some of those who provided the evidence I championed. I would have been a better journalist if I had investigated their claims more closely."

THAT would basically deplete the entire scientific community if we removed scientists who have supported global warming. There would be 10 or so left and none would have a background in science.

YES LIMBAUGH nothing is at all how it seems in reality. It is all how it seems in your head. No need mentioning actual proof of your insane theories because your followers of course are mindless robots. I become neurotic listening to this guy for a few minutes a day. I cant imagine what hours would be like.

Does limbaugh realize that global warming and cap and trade could easily be packaged into the rant as one entity. And what would healthcare reform be about? Is that about gore too? Is it about setting up fema camps? killing americans with vaccines? one world government? commufascisocialism? What is the buzz word today?

      STILX is strangely quiet....

This is an enormous case of organized scientific fraud, but it is not just scientific fraud. It is also a criminal act. Suborned by billions of taxpayer dollars devoted to climate research, dozens of prominent scientists have established a criminal racket in which they seek government money-Phil Jones has raked in a total of £13.7 million in grants from the British government-which they then use to falsify data and defraud the taxpayers. It's the most insidious kind of fraud: a fraud in which the culprits are lauded as public heroes. Judging from this cache of e-mails, they even manage to tell themselves that their manipulation of the data is intended to protect a bigger truth and prevent it from being "confused" by inconvenient facts and uncontrolled criticism.

The damage here goes far beyond the loss of a few billions of taxpayer dollars on bogus scientific research. The real cost of this fraud is the trillions of dollars of wealth that will be destroyed if a fraudulent theory is used to justify legislation that starves the global economy of its cheapest and most abundant sources of energy.

This is the scandal of the century. It needs to be thoroughly investigated-and the culprits need to be brought to justice.

I tried to listen to this idiot but could only get halfway through. He is so full of it! Unbelievable!! Do most of these right wing crackheads disagree with global warming from a biblical standpoint? If so they are way off in their beliefs. Biblically we should take care of the planet that we were given. At least that's the way I interpret the bible. Why are these people so against trying to find clean energy, becoming undependent on foreign oil, taking care of this planet and those that live on it. Limbaugh is the worst kind of idiot!

Yep this is coming from a man who said! And I quote:

      "The sea eats oil."
"The sea ate all the oil!"
"That place cleaned it up quicker then any human ever can!"

I'm guessing they are talking about average atmospheric temperatures. Now I'm not and expert on this but if these temperatures had been rising and seem to have stopped over the last 10 years is that really a good thing considering that 10 years ago the temperatures were causing harsh weather conditions. and 10 years later we are still in the same situation. I would also like to know if the Ocean temperatures are not rising because I think that is ore important. Oceanic currents cause most of the harsh weather and have a lot more impact on the polar caps. I'm tired of these it's cold today so global warming does not exist arguments. Rush is like the guy at the bar who assumes to be an expert on everything. Everything is based on a single supporting factor with him.

Like many things you don't understand , Rush, and you don't understand science. In fact, from listening to you talk I don't think there is much that you do understand. So why is it when a bit of information surfaces that supports your prejudices and the false information that you have internalized, you jump on it immediately, and suggest that every scientist involved in global warming discussions should be summarily fired? If you held yourself to the same standards, you probably would not have been on the air more than two minutes in the past 30 years.
