Ditto to Pinhead's issue: "Mongoloid" was the label used to identify Chinese-looking races on the charts that helped define illegal inter-marriage of races. Our use of it as a derogatory term prolly dates from anti-coolie biases in my fair Bay Area.

Time to find a lower low for Mr. Beck.

Oh, yes, that CERTAINLY wouldn't make them look like martyrs at the hands of cruel oppressors. PLEASE don't throw the terrorists in that briar patch, Marse Glenn!

So, as far as Becky is concerned, it is okay to abuse and torture and murder enemy soldiers in the name of American justice. The rule of law is a bad thing, and soldiers who behave honorably are weak, but soldiers who abuse a prisoner are heroes. I think these guys must have given the man more than a fat lip. If it was only a fat lip, there would have been no court martial. I have never seen a service member bring charges against another service member when they were not deserved (I suspect the same is also true of police officers, for them to be willing to break down the blue or camo wall, there has to be something really, really agregious.)

I never understand why Beck and his right-wing pals don't just join the terrorists anyway. They have exactly the same mentality as them, and the same goals - to do away with the protections that the US constitutions provide.

Well put. I keep thinking of the pictures from Vietnam, the young soldiers with the zippos, "We destroyed the village in order to save it." The problem is, if you destroy the Constitution in order to save it to the way you like it, you destroy the country. I have been reading "American Theocracy" by Kevin Phillips and he talks about just this sort of thing. He talks about how the Christian Reconstructionist are really looking to establish a theocracy. A lot of what I see in the Teabaggers is this kind of Christianity, and it frightens me.

Has Glenn Beck read any history? Even the Nazis, the Japanese and the North Vietnamese did not summarily execute all detainees. Some ended up in POW camps; some were eventually released or liberated. Beck is so intoxicated with the sound of his own voice and his bloody shirt-waving that he has checked his basic humanity at the door. Rush Limbaugh routinely fantasizes about homosexual rape on the air and Glenn Beck often dreams of murder, whether it's Pelosi or a detainee.

      Glenn Beck supports war crimes.

If any American soldier did that they would be court martialed and possibly executed.

Why does Glenn Beck want our troops to suffer that fate?

Answer: Because Glenn Beck hates our troops. Which he means he hates America. Why does Glenn Beck hate our troops? Why does Glenn Beck hate America?

I'll give Glenn Beck credit. He has learned something from history after all.

So now there is no pretending by Beck that he has a distain for the Constitution and justice. This tells me he is unAmerican and deserves to be investigated for terrorist leanings. This man must be stopped with in the fram work of the law.

If only people would do their history and find out how truly America treated every other person around the world and in this country who wasn't their color, same gender, spoke the same language as them, or had a vast of natural resources that the U.S. wanted their eyes would open. Too bad most people don't even apply the time. SMH!

This is the guy who wants to be the "Constitution czar", right? I have not memorized the whole Constitution, but I'm pretty sure what he's describing here is ... um ... contrary to the ideals on which our country was founded.

Wasn't there a law on the books in Missouri allowing people to shoot Mormons? As I recall, it wasn't repealed until the 1970's, despite its obvious conflict with federal law. Beck, as a Mormon convert, really ought to be more thoughtful about this.

It's the ethnic Mormons they had a problem with. Not the converts. j/k ;)

Shoot unarmed detainees in the head? And they call themselves American and supporters of the constitution and beck talks about the founding fathers like he knows anything about them. Yes, Im sure that is exactly what the constitution would call for beck. Such a hippocrit

Beck and his ilk always babble about the Constitution and the rule of law. But when it comes right down to it they really don't give a damn. Yeah just shoot the detainees in the head. Don't give them a trial or anything. That's real "American" isn't it Beck?
I got a kick out of the fact that one of his minions on the air said that he would have to "restrain" himself from just shooting a detainee if he saw one. What is he? A psychopath? "Hey there's a detainee in shackles!" BANG! BANG! What an a-hole!

Fits right in with the basic bush administration premise on terrorists....."If they're in our custody, they're guilty."

Ergo, no need for habeas corpus or any of that other annoying crap they call "the rule of law."

There are two types of Due Process, Procedural Due Process (how laws are carried out and executed) and Substantial Due Process (what is contained in the laws). This idea of "proper treatment" violates both of these constitutional guarantees, and is startling to say the least.

They talk so much about the Constitution these days, these mongoloids, but they don't much care for its protections of criminal defendants, guarantees of due process, prohibitions against cruel and unusual punishment, etc.

?? For real? If Navy Seals kill enemy combatants on the battlefield that is just fine. Last I looked that was an accepted practice of war.

I really wish the companies that purchase ads on Glenn's show would just listen to what goes on. Do they think what is being said doesn't carry over to their advertising?

      "...shoot them in the head...."

"And now, a message from the folks bringing you this hour of the Glenn Beck show..."

Yea. I really want to purchase something from people with ethical standards low enough to actually purchase ad time on this show. Why should I trust them?
