I made it to one minute and ten seconds.

Enough to understand this is a seriously deranged man.

I wish someone would explain exactly which rights have been taken away and what that country they lost was like.

Beck is anti-government when it supports his conservative agenda to do it. He is pro-government when the conservative agenda objects.

This man is on the edge of a nervous breakdown. This blabber mouth just like the rest of the right wing ilk, always tell me the government is taking away my rights. When asked what rights they are taking away, about the only thing they ever refer to is taxes. I never knew it was my right not to pay taxes in this country.

Old Glennie will find himself one day in a padded room, drooling out the corner of his mouth.

So Beck says he was against the dismantling of our civil rights under Bush eh? Odd, I don't remember him saying a peep against Bush when he got rid of habeus corpus, enacted rendition, approved of eavesdropping on phone conversations without a warrant, etc. In fact Beck was all for it! Beck is such a pathological liar! What a total scumbag!

Glenn, Glenn, Glenn. Martin Luther King pressured the government to make a new naw protecting civil rights. Which of course went against the States rights ideals of people like GOP nominee Barry Goldwater.

"Actually, Glenn Beck reminds me more of Jesus, only without the long hair and a functioning brain. "

If biblical accounts are to be believed, then this opinion could be considered pretty accurate. I don't read it as a slam against Jesus in any way just a simple observation of a man reaching out to a certain faction who tend to believe in the same idealogy as his own. And according to some who believe, this man Jesus, was to be feared and was eventually crucified due to that fear.

Remember the three principals of the Republican Party.

      1. Unrestricted Free Market System
      2. The Moral Majority, religious influence on politics
      3. Big Government restricting individual rights & liberties

Beck mixed a little of number 2 and number 3 together this time. Have you wondered why none of them speak of Unrestricted Free Market System lately? Could it have something to do with the collapse of the economy? BINGO

I don't know what percentage of campaign donations come to the Republican Party through Big Industry, but it has to be large. They have to be able to lure that group into thinking tax cuts will be coming if they get back in power again.

Big Industry does not care about the Moral Majority or the loss of Individual Rights and Liberties - they are driven by money.

No, Glenn, you are anti-government. Remember all that garbage about how you and your followers surround me, because I am a government worker and how I work for you! You are anti-government. And no, you are not MLK. He was a good and kind man. He didn't believe in violence. He didn't menace people to get his point across. He kept a civil tongue in his head when he dealt with people he didn't agree with. He didn't threaten to poison people or threaten to strangle, shoot or bash the heads in of people he didn't agree with.

Exactly. It's just another time period. The same can be said for bigotry all through U.S. history. Abe "Emancipation Proclamation" Lincoln was a PROGRESSIVE, CONSERVATIVES continued to support slavery. Who created the Jim Crow laws and enacted segregation after it became obvious that slavery would not be reenacted? CONSERVATIVES. During the Red Scare and the Cold war, who fanned the flames of xenophobia and hatred? CONSERVATIVES. Who hosed down and let dogs loose on Civil Rights protesters? CONSERVATIVES. Who were outraged that minorities should have the same rights any any Christian white man? CONSERVATIVES. Who supported segregation, some of them even into the 21st Century (Strom Thurmand)? CONSERVATIVES.

Beck is a far, far, far cry from MLK.

This is why Byrd may have been fillibustering -

"Byrd holds a wide variety of both liberal and conservative political views. A lifelong Democrat, Byrd did not leave the party as its views shifted from SOCIAL CONSERVATISM to SOCIAL LIBERALISM. He has also held many leadership positions: Senate Conference Secretary, Majority Whip, Minority Leader and twice Majority Leader. He is the only former party leader currently in the Senate."

Beck dares in the face of opposition to anything progressive call out a current democrat for something he did 50 yrs ago in a feeble and moronic attempt to associate dems with opposition to progress or civil rights.

Hey how about this glen? Leibermann who is more rconservative than most republicans ran on the dem ticket with Gore a mere 9 yrs ago. PEOPLE CHANGE!

It disgusts me to hear the Beckenstein Monster compare himself to a true martyr for America, MLK.

Do you know what King went through, Becky? He was stabbed before he was shot, he was vilified and harassed his entire life. He had so much stress that at death his autopsy revealed the heart of a 60 year old man (MLK was 39).

You sir, are a multi-millionaire charlatan who spews propaganda for rich a-holes. Hell is not warm enough for you.
