What the heck is this Mormon moron bleating about? Are we now all of a sudden of Jewish stock that fled Egypt, including HIM?

If we were all Jews then there'd be no reason to fight religious wars, and the Middle East would be at peace, none of which is true. And the whole Jesus thing wouldn't exist, Glenn. You seem to forget that.

I think his Magic Underoos are on a bit tight today. He seems to make less sense than normal.

The United States is based on Jewish principles:

Guess I need to teach you something since you seem to lack the information (did you go to public school?):

Judeo–Christian (sometimes written as Judaeo–Christian) is a term used in the United States, broadly to describe a body of concepts and values thought to be held in common by Judaism and Christianity, which played a prominent role in the founding of America, the development of characteristic American values, the American Revolutionary War and the United States Constitution. Classical Greco-Roman civilization and the Judeo-Christian tradition are considered the two fundamental sources of Western legal codes and morality.

The term refers to a moral tradition based on shared religious scriptures, referred to as the Tanakh or Hebrew Bible in Judaism and the Old Testament by Christians. Michael Novak describes the two core values of the Judeo–Christian tradition as liberty and equality These fundamental American values were derived by the founding generations of Americans in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries from their reading of the Book of Genesis, where all humans are said to be created equal, and Exodus, where the Israelites flee tyranny to freedom. Thomas Cahill describes Jewish belief in progress and moral responsibility as a characteristic of American culture that can be traced to a Judeo–Christian reading of the Bible.

Maybe he believes that whole British Israel thing, the idea that the true Jews were white people that went on to become the British people, and that the Semitic peoples are something else. It's the same anti-Semitic concept behind the Christian Identity movement in this country and probably something more than a few conservative Mormons would entertain, considering how long it took them to stop practicing overt racism.

Yeah, I watched this last night (Colbert was a rerun and I needed a laugh), and Beck emphasized that the "Laus Deo" was higher than anybody could see- you can't build that high !, so it was obviously meant for God's eyes (?), and I'm pretty sure beck thought he had proved the existence of God at this point. I was getting a little woozy from all of the bullsh*t, so I may have got part of that wrong.

I see these little cracks in that wall of separation differently, as a warning sign; It may seem perfectly harmless to throw the superstitious types a bone here and there (This example, In God We Trust on the coins, "Under God"),but inevitably, one of them is going to come along later and insist that this inclusion of religion, done to to pacify them, is proof that we're a theocracy.

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody, even those who can just feel thankful in an abstract sense, without a "personality" to thank.

hmmmm...so this started in 1848 under Pole, a democrat. Then Grant, a Republican started to finish it off, and then 3 other Republican presidents finished the monument off. I see it now. The Republicans are destroying our freedom. They have taken away our Sinai and sent us all back to Egypt. Those scoundrels.

      Sick degrees of separation...

I seriously doubt that there are any two objects on earth that Beck couldn't connect in six steps or less.

If you stuck a tiny micophone up one of the Mormonster's ear canals, I'm quite certain that the amplified racket from his brain could be used in place of waterboarding.

Growing up as a country boy, there was an old guy I knew who used an expression that I've never forgotten and it captures Beck perfectly: "Crazier than a peach orchard boar."

The peaches ferment quickly when they hit the ground and the boar eats them and gets drunk. Hence the term peach orchard boar. Of course that wouldn't be Beck. He's only a dry-drunk.

If Beck wants to complain that the US is just like Egypt, then maybe he should do what his "ancestors" did and get the hell out. The reason why we don't want the Ten Commandments in courthouses and other government buildings, is because it is imposing Christian beliefs on individuals. Imposing religious beliefs through the power of laws is unconstitutional and dangerous.

The US was founded on individual rights and freedom. As it states in the 1st Amendment, everyone has a right to practice their own religion and not to be forced by a government to observe a specific religion. For all that Beck claims to know about the US Constitution, you would think he would understand that.

How sad and scary it is that this guy's words are taken as gospel by his followers. You'd think that at least one of them had at one time paid attention during history, civics or geography class.

We don't live in the Bronze Age. Today we've got this system of tubes and the google. There's great information at his fingertips. Is he claiming to be a Jew now, on the run from Pharaoh?

He'd be just as accurate with his predictions if he read goat entrails next to his blackboard.

I hope that someday they read his entrails (after he's done with them) to see what the hell is wrong with him.

Beck has the mind of a precocious child who has read a whole lot of children's books about an idealized version of American history. I've posted this before but watching his childish over-confidence in regard to how much he thinks he knows always reminds of that Stephen Hawking quote:

"The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."

That is why Beck is a dangerous enemy of knowledge. He truly has deluded himself into thinking he possesses it. And millions of his followers are equally delusional.

OMG...all of your comments are so damn funny. And strangely hilarious if Beck wasn't such a fear monger, with a weird following of groupies that believe everything he says.

It is almost like I get hypnotized watching this man-child go through his daily bi-polar swings. I can't stand his fairy tales and chalk board antic's, but he can be entertaining if you realize he REALLY has loonies that believe what he says as he goes through his up's and down's.

And Beck should he ever be told he WAS bi-polar would relate those words in his own unique way. Such as "polar" relates to The North Pole, and global warming is all lies. The "bi" part, well...we all know where he's head with that. LOL

Really love reading your funny and insightful thoughts on Beck's word twisting and emotional propaganda.

It does make me feel better, to find a site where there are actual intellectual rants for once.

Come to think of it...maybe the "Rapture" might be its own reward for the rest of us left behind? :-)
