So, since we all know that Fox is not a real news organization and that all of their reporters are liars, it is safe to assume that the emails are in the proper context.

Please don't feed the troll. No one has ever said that FoxNews lies about everything, nor has anyone ever said that every FoxNews guest or commentator can't be trusted.

In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States. .......During their appeal, FOX asserted that there are no written rules against distorting news in the media. They argued that, under the First Amendment, broadcasters have the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on public airwaves.

Yikes! I read that article. I find it a bit hard to believe, but it does make sense out of the happenings at Fixed Spews. I was taught to tell the truth, and to give the real facts. It makes any use of a Faux Noise item suspect, however. I wonder, do they realize that?

No, it is safe to assume that the out of context is not the way it is being spun. Fox doesn't know what it is talking about, as usual.

How dare Nancy insult the Great Rush!

And tax burdens on the American people? More like it would force big conglomerates to spend more money to reduce pollution. Which would be a real tragedy.

for the republicans, of course. anything good that the democrats try to do that gives them credit, the republicans, obviously (as usual), want to sabotage. first, stem cell research (with bush as president), then healthcare, now global warming... next thing you know, theyll try and sabotage saving peoples lives altogether because it costs us money.

thats what greed does to people, and it has been doing it to the republicans ever since their savior against any taxes (other than for the middle-class), reagan, was at the helm.

Meorow! HISS! Pfft! I liked how Nancy called out Andrea, whom I have never liked, even if she does speak perfect French. But really, what do any of the three know about Climate Change? And if Andrea is being paid by Fox, she is working for industry and they do have a cozy agreemeent with the energy industry to downplay Climate Change. And these taxes may be a burden, but what about the burden of real changes to the climate and real pollution problems, what about that?

A little more research about dear Andrea's on line bio: "Tantaros currently is a Vice President with Sloane and Company where she specializes in crisis communications, healthcare, and public affairs clients."

I would say she is an industry call girl, so liar, liar, pants on fire! Way to go Nancy.

As I posted on another thread, all the suspect emails have been discussed, and all the distortions have been refuted.

Michael Mann directly responded to the criticisms of the emails here.

The questions he answers are below - follow the link above to read his answers.

When Phil Jones wrote in 1999, "I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (i. e. from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline," what did he mean?

You wrote, "Perhaps we'll do a simple update to the Yamal post. As we all know, this isn't about truth at all, its about plausibly deniable accusations," what's the story there?

Phil Jones again wrote "Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise. He's not in at the moment -minor family crisis. Can you also email Gene and get him to do the same? I don't have his new email address. We will be getting Caspar to do likewise."

You wrote, "I think we have to stop considering Climate Research as a legitimate peer-reviewed journal. Perhaps we should encourage our colleagues in the climate research community to no longer submit to, or cite papers in, this journal"?

"It would be nice to try to contain the putative "MWP".

andrea tantaros is an embarrassment. im almost positive that she is not paid by the anti-environment industry to spout her lies, but the way she is repeating the falsehoods and using the fear card of raising taxes (shocking criticism from a wingnut), its almost like she is employed by them. so an unfair characterization by skinner (if you want to take it literally), but an interesting interpretation of which side she supports. and when someone reacts to something like in that fashion, it obviously got under their skin.

kind of like grayson's "k-street whore" accusation against somebody (forget who)... he wasnt exactly calling her a whore, but that she is a whore for the big lobbying corporations. the wingnuts that try and spin it as an actual whore comment is laughable.
