But lying, distorting, misinforming and channeling Republican talking points is just fine!

I have sent numerous tips into MMfA about FoxNews.com doing exactly that. They have taken AP stories about suicide bombers and changing the word "suicide" with "homicide" and still calling it an AP story.

What does he mean by re-write? And who is he referring to exactly? Sounds like Murdoch is getting ready to declare war on bloggers.

Murdoch is all about the money. He doesn't care about journalism, he doesn't care about fact, he doesn't care about balance. He doesn't care about public service. All he cares about is making a profit. He wants to make people pay for the lies he tells him. Well, good on him, but I will make an even greater effort to avoid all things Fox.

The greatest irony is that Fox News does little original investigative journalism itself. O'Reilly, Hannity, and even all the "news" shows on Fox rely on news gathered by other sources like the New York Times, Washington Post, etc.
The only "investigative" journalism they do is their sleazy "ambush" interviews.

The big problem there is that the get their "information" from proven unreliable sources such as World Nut Daily, NewsMax, CNS, and the Washington Times.

Yes stories like THE SUN's, (owned by Murdoch) "Girl's snor-gasm"; "Woman suffers from disorder which turns her into a sex addict", need to be protected from distortion and ridicule. The free world depends on it.

Murdoch says those "online" who "rewrite" journalists' stories are engaging in "theft"
And publishing GOP talking points verbatim without fact-checking or rewriting them is laziness.

I have always said the since its inception, Fox News Channel is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Republican Nation Committee, with Murdoch as a figurehead owner. The RNC supplies Roger Ailes and Fox News with all of the "news" that they broadcast on a dialy basis. During the last eight years, Roger Aikes and Fox News got all of its marching orders and talking points directly from the Bush Adminiastration through Co-President Cheney.

      Hey, Rupe.

Ever heard of news wire services? Journalists have been rewriting wire service material for 100 years.

      Idiot.
