This is a lie. There's no audio of him advocating that TARP not be passed.

exactly! He advocated for it until long after it passed because bush was promoting it. Then, he pretended like he was always opposed to it because obama was pres while they doled it out and a lot of right wing morons thought that obama was the one that signed the bill and libertarians opposed it. Close to a year afterwards, he "admits" that he originally supported it but lies about flip flopping on the issue a few days later. Its more of beck re-writing history to fit his own agenda. No surprise there!

I agree 100 percent. If there was audio saying he was against the TARP two days after he said he was for it, I'll guarantee he would have played it.

Is this another 18 1/2 minute gap in the audio tapes?

Didn't good old 'honest' Glenn scream at a caller for accusing him of supporting the bailouts of the banks?

Actually this is the same caller that you are both refering to. Apparently the "pinhead" was right about Beck supporting the bailout, so the freak out he had was unwaranted and wrong.

Notice no appology to the woman was in his admission of support for TARP.

Where is the proof that he was against it 2 days later? He is useless and if his followers accept this they are are proof of no hope.

There is no such proof because he's a blithering liar and he just gave us thumbs down for pointing out the truth. Yay!

There is no proof, thats why our resident troll did a drive by thumbs down. He or she can't refute the facts so they go with disdain.

The sickest thing about Glen Beck... is that he is so far out there that you cant tell if he is just being sarcastic or if he is serious. The trademark of a true conservative i guess.

JUST LAST WEEK - I was ARGUING with a fox faithful who said beck ALWAYS opposed it. I dont actually think it was two days - beck slowly started to oppose it when he realized obama and other dems supported it.

"Yet, even that is not entirely true. It should say lying bastard beck supported anything and everything bush wanted even if it directly conflicted with libertarian and right wing nut insanity and then, much later opposed it when he realized many of his retarded listeners thought the whole TARP bill was something obama signed into law." But I guess the title may have been too long.

If I'm hearing this right... Glenn Beck basically admitted to loving the idea of TARP under a Republican president... but once TARP was being administered under a Democrat... fake anger and call people pinhead for basically being right in the first place??

I'm not sure if I should laugh out loud, cry, or scream?

Bingo. You'll likely see the same phenomenon over the next year or so, as Republicans grow to hate the War in Afghanistan, and blame Obama for the mess we're in there, and whine about how much it's costing. Of course, these are the same imbeciles who didn't even ask how the unnecessary Iraq invasion was going to be paid for.

        Hide and watch.

Rather than just calling him a liar maybe you could just go to his website and look at the transcript. I don't know exactly what day in the month of Sept. 2008 he was saying he was for the bailout, but this link is to his Sept. 30 2008 show and that certainly appears he was against the bailout.

September 22, 2008 Glenn Beck flip-flops and goes from being against the bailout to for it. September 24, 2008 he starts waffling in his support as more information is released. September 29, 2008 he flat out says he is against the bailout bill. He also says in that show that Treasury Secretary Paulson ought to be fired. All documented on transcripts and in audio on his website. I don't see where the 'big lie' is.
