It was a bit much but with the way the world is right now he has been out of sight for a while and most have forgotten about him. If anything I think it points out how he is being used. I actually feel sorry for Stele. Never before have I seen a grown man treated with such contempt and make a big fool of hiself through fault of his own.

To say that government spending does not create jobs in an economy with a lot of slack (as if the money evaporated) is absurd. The spending creates economic activity equivalent to the amount spent plus the additional effect of the multiplier (CBO generally multiplies the spending times 1.5).

The right-wing commentators who make such statements as Hannity have little or no formal education in the subject on which they hold forth.

BIA, I second pete on this one..that was a little much. This wasn't a situation where Steele was putting on his black face routine though he rarely gives it a rest. He was just restating core republican principles. The only fault he has is that he's complaining that Obama's taking forever when he's part of the group that is holding every little thing up having a temper tantrum because they're not in charge and can't do favors for their friends.

republicans have a vested interest in seeing the stimulus fail. the scariest thing to republicans is a successful economy and job market. it didn't have to be like this, but they(republicans) found their solidarity in opposing every aspect of the stimulus package, even though it contained a sizable amount of tax cuts. republicans are scared. an improved economy and job market will severely weaken their 2010 chances.

BLUESTATE, they are frightened that if OBAMA and the DEMOCRATS are successful in turning the economy around, that they( the REPUBLICANS) will be margialized like they were from 1932 to 1952.

I was probably mean to Michael Steel. If Steel was honest his version would be meaner than mine. But that has nothing to do with my manners.I apoligize to MMFA and other posters for being mean.

Here again Klannity is using Uncle Steele to help him do what he does best; lie, misrepresent, criticize and attack President Obama. It doesn't matter what Obama does, these two boneheads can't resist the temptation to show their distain.
What Michael doesn't realize is Sean's opposition to the President is more than political. This makes Michael bigger fool because he should know that by now.

Obama and his administration spared America of a total economic collapse and somehow this is lost on these two hateful, envious idiots.
Michael Steele is not only an uncle-tom he is a complete fool. If he were President Sean Hannity, also known as "Klannity", would treat him the same way he treats the current President, and he would do it for the same reasons he dislikes Obama now. Need I say more?
Michael, you keep siding with the devil and watch what they do to your dumb-a*& when you are of no more use to them.

      Footnote:
Incidentally, a Judge in New York has ordered Hal Turner to stand trial for "calling for a day of violence against black people" and advocating the "assassination" of three judges. Hal Turner is a white supremacist and the man Hannity once deemed his friend and mentor.

        TO Ravendog
If you have to ask "what part of the stimulus was a success", you are beyond reproach, however, I will throw this at you; the economy and the financial institutions was heading for a TOTAL collaspe less than a year ago.
