There was controversy around Mathews statement, come on. Where is the the person who said it was a smart comment?

Aren't there enough controversial statements where there is a real controversy?

Perhaps Chris Matthews thought the President was going to a Fox News interview?

Of course it wasn't a dumb statement.

I don't know why he even apologized.

How many more years before Americans are able to stomach unadulterated honesty?

No it isn't, ever since Obama took office, with his socialist, fascist, communist regime, all water has turned dry. Just another thing Obama has screwed up. Geez, I thought everyone knew that.

i hate how the wingnuts are going crazy about this. they make all the outrageous comments they want, but once somebody like matthews, olbermann or schultz says something, they go full-on nutty. granted, matthews should shut his mouth about this kind of stuff, but also to his credit, he wasnt calling west point the "enemy camp", but the demeanor of the cadets when obama was speaking. he should have made that clear from the get go.

Excellent observation teabagger. In this instance, it wasn't right wing wingnuts who were all up in arms about Matthews' statement. If you were able to see the entire segment, it was easy to discern what Matthews was trying to say. Poor choice of words? Sure. Conservative misinformation? I think not.

So the navel-gazing has become so blatant, a comment by one cable "news" show host is worthy of discussion on another cable "news" show. Great.
