When does Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and the right wing crackpots start calling Gates a liar?

I have dibs on sometime Monday morning, when the 3 stooges go on the air on Fox.

You're right, but only because they have already aired their big commentary shows for the day.

Silly macdonald! When he started working for Obama, that's when...

When? How about Monday, Dec. 6th? Gates will be called a coward by Beck and Limbaugh, two dim-wits who will rather force their own mothers/wives/daughters to serve in the military before themselves.

They'll either attack him full bore, or pretend he never said it. One thing for certain... they will NEVER admit that he's right.

I say never. They will never want to hurt the appearance that the GOP is still relevant. Instead, ignore the comment and claim Obama does all wrong and Bush was a hero...

Fox announcers have been talking for months about how Obama is an egotist, and can't have anyone with a differing opinion around him, but he has a political opponent as his Secretary of State and a member of the previous President as his Secretary of Defense, and neither of them seem unhappy to be where they are. Gates was correct, he serves at the President's discretion, but I have neither seen nor heard anything that would seem to indicate he is unhappy with his Republican Secretary of Defense. And notice, this President has tripled to quadrupled the troop commitment to Afghanistan, where the current War on Terrorism started.

Funny too because the same announcers who criticize Obama for being an egotist also jump on any story of dissension in the administration, like how Biden says one thing contrary to Obama...

Not everybody can have Cheney around to run the country.

Cheney the Prince of Darkness, who never put anything in writing because he didn't want it coming back to bite him. There was no dissenion in the Bush Administration, they left or were thrown out and then they were thrown under the bus!

This clip shows why I never watch David Gregory on MTP. It seems that he was trying to get Sec.Gates to give a comment that would confirm his POV, and have Sec. Gates say, "Oh, no, the Bush WH met all of the military's needs in Afghanistan!"

Anyone who has been paying attention already knows that the Bush Administration failed to properly resource Afghanistan, and that they spent only 1 hour with the Obama transition team regarding Afghanistan, but I guess if you're Gregory you have to continue to burnish your creds to maintain your membership in the Dick and Lizzie Club.

David Gregory knows he can sell more TV spots to right wing buddies of Dick when Dick and Liz are on his show.

Ratings are probably higher for those shows for the same reason people rubberneck when passing an accident or fire- "Cheney said what?!?"

Remember, it's all about ratings these days, not informing the electorate or good governance.

He'll always be Dances With Roves to me, and I'll never watch a show he's hosting.

(I'm sure that'll keep him awake nights.)

Gates: "There was throughout my time" in the Bush administration "an outstanding request" for more troops for Afghanistan

Yep and when it was brought about it was shot down and instead Bush or should I say Chaney focused on a war that never should have happened.

Exactly... that's the big fat elephant sitting in the bean dip, and none of the chattering class will acknowledge it. If Bush/Cheney hadn't diverted our resources over to their unnecessary Iraq Adventure, Afghanistan probably wouldn't be the mess it is today.

Did anyone even for a minute think there wasn't such a request? Bush virtually ignored Afghanistan after we invaded Iraq. The question is why are the rabid right jumping all over Obama for something Bush let stew and get worse for the better part of 5 years?
