Sheesh, I am not a Tiger Woods fan - I think this is a big deal mostly because of all the middle-aged sports journalists counting on Woods to convince people against all evidence that golf really is a sport.

But this is just disgusting. What, really, do Woods and Simpson have in common that would cause Bleck to lump them together. Gosh, whatever could it be, hmm...?

What do O.J and Tiger have in common?
      1. Athletes? Check
      2. Black? Check
That's about it. This racist has crossed the line yet again. But that's what Roger Ailes pays him for. FOX and Beck have no shame or integrity whatsoever. But they'll always have an audience because racists are a large (if stupid) constituency.

You need to understand that Glenn Beck has really never left his roots; namely, as an FM morning-show shock jock. This is a guy who called the wife of a competitor, ON THE AIR, and mocked her recent miscarriage. He's never really changed since then, except he's added crying to his repertoire.

Beck is not and never will be Howard Stern. Stern is smart, Beck is an idiot. And he is not a shock jock, he's a pure and simple racist. Not funny, FAUX Entertainment's sponsors should pay for this sort of garbage being spewed on their dime.

Sort of On Topic, I saw this anti-health care ad on Maddow's show last night, and thought it was another great example of the tone-deaf wingnuts take on things, as well as their worship of The Strawman.

This whole thing was sick and nowhere near funny. Tiger is a good looking, nice young man with incredible athletic talent. He must have women throwing themselves at him. And being a good looking, wealthy young man, used to having his choice of women, he has probably taken advantage of that. There is no reason to be alone when you are Tiger Woods, the same is true for lots of musicians and actors, as well as the movers and shakers on Wall Street. We don't rack them over the coals, why should we do that to Tiger? I feel sorry that his life style is exploding in front of him. He needs to work through this problem with his marriage. If he were just some Army or Navy guy, he could have all these girlfriends while he was deployed; his wife would never know, and his buddies would protect him. I have seen it happen way too many times. Leave Tiger and Elin alone to work this out. And Glenn, you should be especially willing to change this subject, because we don't want to get into your first marriage, do we? But, then, you may not have had girlfriends beyond your drugs and alcohol, did you?

It's a common temptation for rich and powerful men. In fact, a lot of "Family Values" Republican lawmakers have been caught double dipping lately. Seems to me that the Troglodytes would be smart enough to just leave this alone... but who am I kidding?

Yes, but it used to be the Democrats who had problems with women and alcohol, it makes for amusing scandals. I liked it better in the old days, Democrats were drunken skirtchasers and Republicans abused power or other people's money. I could vote for a Democrat if his wife was willing to forgive him, but abuses of power or money were reasons not to vote for the guy. But with Republicans moving into the booze and babes area, will they give up on power and money and more importantly, will Democrats take up that slack. I wouldn't mind if Republicans crashed and burned on Family Values (that's actually funnier than a drunken skirtchaser), just another reason to stop voting for them, but I don't want to see Democrats abusing power or other people's money. When that happens, I will need to a party or two.

It's really getting difficult to culturally stereotype our politicians now, we have to add a style/taste element to the task.

Back when, JFK had Marilyn then Clinton had Monica, surely
a loss in style points for Clinton.

Mark Stanford's e-mails put him in a whole new category which brought back some romantic eloquence.

But the guy in the stall the Minneapolis Airport....and the pages in DC ....the Republicans lose on style points. Perhaps they should stick to something they know....greed

This is the second thread where I've seen you post this ridiculous article. Posting a full article without referencing its source is a violation of the Fair Use provisions of the Copyright Laws. I've already alerted the MMFA folks to your two illegal posts, and hopefully they will soon be gone.

Just so you know, the Fair Use provisions of the Copyright Laws allow you to post an EXCERPT of an article (no more than a few paragraphs, followed by a link to the source.

DON'T post the complete text of an article. Rather, post one or two paragraphs and a link to the complete story. It is helpful to other posters if you explain why this article is relevant to the topic at hand. Posts containing complete articles will be removed.

          I was wondering what got deleted, thanks, okiepoli. What a surprise, it's the same lame-brained article I heard Boss Hogg Limbaugh reading a few hours ago.The article that includes this line in its strained comparison of Woods and Obama;

Ironically, the parallels have nothing to do with race.

Why would that be ironic to anybody except simple-minded racists ?

I think I've figured out how rightwingers justify their virulent racism. If they don't use the "n" word, they believe they're not racist. In addition, all they need to say is "you're playing the race card" to anyone who points out their racist statements (as in Beck's case) and it deflects all responsibility - since, in rightwing world, white people are NEVER racist.

He is just an actor trying to make money. It's a roll he is playing, which has nothing to do with integrity. The more outrageous he can make himself, the more attention he will get, the more famous he may become, the more hysterical people might follow him and keep him on the air. Sarah Palin does same. He might not even believe anything that he says. So what do you do with that? I'm not sure. He is putting on a show for money.
