Really? I want people to die because they remember too much? My Mother-in-Law is will be 79 this weekend. She remembers some things about the Depression, she was 11 the week after Pearl Harbor. She remembers FDR, and furthermore, she favors national health care. Last year, she caucused for Hillary. The old gal gets around, and she would find your stupidity very funny Rush.

el Fathead loves this "death panel" thing...

It's a surefire winner with his audience. Sixty percent of Rush's audience is between 75 and 90 years old.

I'm neither a "Dem" or a "lib," but I kinda like having my 97 year old [in three weeks] grandmother around. She's still sharp as a tack and keeps up with current events. She's seen and voted for many presidents . . . she called GWB the worst she'd ever seen and really likes Obama a lot. She's very conservative, but is a life-ling Democrat. I guess in Rush's mind that would be completely impossible.

My parents are 80 and 79 . . . . I'd like to keep them around for a while, too. Again, conservative folks. My father is a lifelong independent who taught me to vote for the best candidate regardless of the political club . . . my mom is a life-long Democrat like her parents. After Bush, my father told me he'd never vote for another Republican even though he had voted for them for president most of his life. You don't EVEN want to get either one of them started on the evils of Rush! LOL!

My father was an Independent, too. I used to vote for the best person. I have voted for Republicans, had to switch parties to do it, too, since Oregon has a closed primary system. Tom McCall was one of my favorite Governors, ever. But, since the 1980's it has become increasing harder for me to vote for a Republican. And this current crop? There is no way I will vote for ANY of them.

This from a man who still calls health care a luxury and equates it with owning a beach house. This disgusting excuse for humanity could care less whether people live or die because of a lack of proper health care. All he cares about is that he's got his...

The 'beach house' mention reminds me that BIOGRAPHY channel had William Shatner's Raw Nerve with Limbaugh (since Rush used the same pseudo-analogy). Not a terribly interesting interview, but I saved a copy for editing... not that I'd use Rush's own words against him by editing the interview...

He talks about Medicare as if the it was the cornerstone of the Republican policy platform, yet he forgets this, and this and this too. It's funny how flip-flops work in Washington, isn't it?

Cite your source, RavenRog. I need a page and section number of the bill, so I can go read it for myself. I've already downloaded a copy, so finding your source for this should be no problem. I'll be waiting...

Adding millions to the health care rolls Illegal imagrants included isn't free. You can't tax the people who produce in this country in infinitim. Private insurance can't compete with the federal government because the government doesnt have to make a profit. We can't pay for everything for everyone from cradle to the grave. Maybe Obama can really earn a Nobel Peace prize for figuring out how to increase all this spending without messing up the private sector and bankrupting the country.

"Private insurance can't compete with the federal government because the government doesnt have to make a profit."

But I thought private industry could do everything better, cheaper, faster, etc.? THat's what they always claim anyway. If the fact that private industry can't compete with govt run healthcare is the reason for not having govt run healthcare then it is nothing but corporate welfare.

Let me the the first to say I have no problem with the elderly passing away.

Isn't that the way it's supposed to work? People are born and if they're lucky enough, they live to become elderly and then they die.
